Disciples -a- Hazard

Making many disciples is a hazard. Usually when a yogi became somewhat proficient, his presence attracted disciples. These persons carry social complications which the teacher must deal with. The belief that the teacher can handle anyone who is attracted to his method, is a silly proposal made by silly teachers and by their followers, who want to have the security of being in a large organization, which was founded by the teacher.

A big effort is made to legitimatize a teacher, so that people will see this individual as being worthy of honor. Once he/she becomes famous, the hazard of having disciples increases. Each person has with him or her, positive and negative energies which the teacher will have to entertain. These powers will saturate the mind of the teacher. That will cause his/her yoga practice to decrease or to become diluted. In addition, the presence of new students forces the teacher to assume management of the student’s good and bad energies.

This will damage the teacher. Some teachers may have a method of shedding this but many will have no idea of how to handle the situations.
