Devotion or Relation

With God or with a deity of worth, what will it be?

·       Devotion?

·       Or Relation?

With devotion, the human being has the upper hand and makes an effort to corral and accommodate the imagined or real supernatural personality.

With relation that is not the case.

There the yogi must first ascertain or connect with the deity. Then he/she may determine an already existing relationship with the supernatural personality, who may or may be in the presence of the yogi, but who is present somewhere somehow, with intentions to connect with the yogi, so that the yogi can feel the relationship and align himself/herself to that relationship with the Lord or Goddess.

With devotion, the devotee is condescending toward the deity but the devotee has no idea that he/she is.

With relation, the yogi is under the shelter of the deity. There is no chance to have a real or imagined upper hand with the deity, where the deity is expected to accept whatever, the yogi feels to offer to the Lord or Goddess.

For devotion, a physical body is sufficient while for relationship a subtle body which is highly energized is required.
