Development of Buddhism in Japan

This is an overview of the influence of Buddhism in Japan. Many were involved. This suggests that some of Japanese Buddhism may be at variance with what Gautam Buddha taught.

 A religion may be ravished also by social influence which comes from the ethnic, political and cultural pressures in the society which the religion makes an effort to root itself in.
