Deceased Yogi Wants to Rescue Partner from Immediate Past Life
An advanced yogi who is trying to complete the yoga practice austerities in the hereafter was speaking to me to get an opinion as to whether a deceased male yogi can rescue a female partner from the immediate past life.
My opinion is that it is hardly likely that the yogi would do so. The mere idea that this yogi did not complete the austerities before leaving the physical body, indicates a failure to rescue himself, which means that he could not get full autonomy over his psyche during the past physical life, while practicing yoga. Thus now that he is deceased he has to use all power to bring himself to terms for success in transforming the subtle body. Thus there is no question that he could rescue some other person, even someone who was his conjugal partner.
There is however a bigger reason for the inability to rescue a partner which is that the person may not be at an evolutional stage where that person can self-apply the yoga practice. That person would need to be propped up and would not have the power to command the adjuncts like the kundalini psychic lifeforce and the buddhi intellect orb.
Getting help from an advance yogi to control these adjuncts is great but that is preliminary just to show one what one has to do to be liberated. Unless one is released from one’s numerous attachments to material nature, assistance with austerities serve as an example and to show one the possibilities but it does not replace one’s self command over the psyche.
In most cases, relationships with conjugal partners are not serviceable to free the partners but through such relationship the needy partner may get close-up views of how to do austerities. That helps the person to become convinced of the necessity to take the yoga practice to heart. This in turn may sponsor some personal interest whereby the needy partner practices sincerely and make progress so that he or she would learn quickly from material nature what it has to teach and then be freed from the attraction to the mundane energy, so as to dedicate oneself fully to self-control.
