Competition in Yoga
The martial arts disciplines also have their astral part, except that while for inSelf Yoga™, one has to deal with the adjuncts as the opponents even hereafter, in martial arts, one will have to deal with astral people later. The last part of the video below show that a martial arts master had to face many other masters of particular weapons physically.
However this happens astrally as well, where one has to meet such masters after death and fight to the finish. Of course the astral body cannot be killed in this way but still there will be such fights in which the astral form will be wounded. Then it will miraculously be healed over again. The pain here is not the pain of the wound which is superficial for the astral form but the pain of being defeated, of realizing that one is not the best fighter.
In yoga there is some competition also that one might face hereafter. For instance it is known that one might suffer if one goes to the Swarga angelic world to be honored there because of the austerities and favorable acts one performed while using the last material body. But there in that place, suddenly sometimes, a person appears who has more honor and favorable acts and then one feels undone and there is the pain one feels due to that.
Some student yogis are pained hereafter when they meet other students who far excel them in meditation achievement. Sometimes a student meets someone whom he or she thinks is a beginner and then finds out that that person is far more advanced or that this person accelerated in the progress suddenly and came to such an advanced stage which is unimaginable. Such experiences may cause competitive pain and sharp painful feelings of resentment.
This occurs because of not curbing the competitive nature or not internalizing it so that there is competition between the core-self and its adjuncts, and not between the core-self and other persons.
When one catches up with a siddha or with a group of siddhas, there is no competition even though one might compare methods and notes, just to get encouragement to accelerate the progress. But there is ongoing competition at least from the attitude of the kundalini lifeforce which is in a death struggle to control the psyche and to not allow the core-self to ever be master of the personal energies.
Imagine combat with the adjuncts which might be compared to what you see in the last part of this video, where the master has to fight other masters with very dangerous death-wielding weapons. These opponents will not stand down no matter what. These are like the kundalini in its attitude towards the core-self where it has no intentions of being ruled permanently by the core-person.
