Chit Akash Leakage

A yogi may cause the core-self to be rained upon by the chit akash energy which leaks into the psyche during meditation and also during breath infusion practice. Mostly this energy is ignored by the yogi because of failure to recognize it.

In meditations when the chit akash is obvious and this happens to a very few yogis, then the yogi may hanker for it, may be eager to touch it or to be in it, but usually a student has no idea about the energy of the chit akash and does not recognize it when it is present in its very subtle, non-obvious, formats.

 

Srila Yogeshwarananda asked me to jot down a kriya which involves the core-self being rained upon by the chit akash energy during meditation. He also said that sometimes during breath infusion there may be opportunity to soak up chit akash energy but that the experience during the infusion sessions is different to that during meditation.

 

The practice during meditation is:

 

As soon as the yogi can find the core-self to be anchored in naad sound resonance, then if looking forward in the subtle head there is complete silence in compliance with Patanjali non-cittavritti operations, the yogi should check to see if there are micros gaps here and there and should absorbed the energy which is coming in through those micro gaps. This will feel like a cool rain energy which has a neutral–lust charge. It will feel as if a relief energy bombards the core-self the way a light rain hits a roof top.

 

Otherwise, Srila Yogeshwarananda said that if there is partial or full burst through to the chit akash sky of consciousness where the shrouding mento-emotional energy just disappears partially or fully, then the yogi should immediately absorb that chit akash energy into the core self and should not try to chase down or pursue anything in the spiritual sky.

 

He stated that the pursuit habit causes a regression. It is best to absorb the energy and influence of the chit akash, rather than to make a sensual pursuit in a visual or in any other sensual way.

 

Yogeshwarananda said that with the kundalini one will find that usually if it is fully aroused as spinal kundalini into the head of the subtle body, the experience of spiritual energy will be the brahmin effulgence as golden or white-gold light in sheer brilliance in every direction, outshining anything else. In this state it is near impossible to direct the self. In fact one will find the core-self to be scattered in this energy with a slight distinction or without any.

 

If however one uses cell kundalini, the experience will be different where there will be a bliss energy either a neutral one or otherwise, and from this one can also feel an ooze of chit akash energy as a cooling bliss force which comes and hits the core self wherever that self is located at the time. The yogi should allow this to happen and should lean back as it hits the core-self and produces a bliss feeling which is beyond compare and which is free of the passionate-hormonal force which sponsors sexual indulgence.

धूमेनाव्रियते वह्निर्

यथादर्शो मलेन च ।

यथोल्बेनावृतो गर्भस्

तथा तेनेदमावृतम् ॥३.३८॥

 

dhūmenāvriyate vahnir

yathādarśo malena ca

yatholbenāvṛto garbhas

tathā tenedamāvṛtam (3.38)

 

dhūmenāvriyate = dhūmena — by smoke + āvriyate — is obscured; vahnir = vahniḥ — the sacrificial fire; yathā — similarly; 'darśo = ādarśaḥ — mirror; malena — with dust; ca — and; yatholbenāvṛto = yatholbenāvṛtaḥ = yatho (yatha) — similarly + ulbena — by skin + āvṛtaḥ — is covered; garbhaḥ — embryo; tathā — so; tenedam = tena — by this + idam — this; āvṛtam — is blocked

 

As the sacrificial fire is obscured by smoke, and similarly as a mirror is shrouded by dust or as an embryo is covered by skin, so a man's insight is blocked by the passionate energy. (3.38)

 

आवृतं ज्ञानमेतेन

ज्ञानिनो नित्यवैरिणा ।

कामरूपेण कौन्तेय

दुष्पूरेणानलेन च ॥३.३९॥

 

āvṛtaṁ jñānametena

jñānino nityavairiṇā

kāmarūpeṇa kaunteya

duṣpūreṇānalena ca (3.39)

 

āvṛtam — is adjusted; jñānam — discernment; etena — by this; jñānino = jñāninaḥ — educated people; nityavairiṇā = nitya — eternal + vairiṇā — by the enemy; kāmarūpeṇa = kāma — yearning for various things + rūpeṇa — by the sense or form of; kaunteya — son of Kuntī; duṣpūreṇānalena = duspūreṇa — is hard to satisfy + analena — by fire; ca — and

 

The discernment of educated people is adjusted by their eternal enemy which is the sense of yearning for various things. O son of Kuntī, the lusty power, is as hard to satisfy as it is to keep a fire burning. (3.39)

 

इन्द्रियाणि मनो बुद्धिर्

अस्याधिष्ठानमुच्यते ।

एतैर्विमोहयत्येष

ज्ञानमावृत्य देहिनम् ॥३.४०॥

 

indriyāṇi mano buddhir

asyādhiṣṭhānamucyate

etairvimohayatyeṣa

jñānamāvṛtya dehinam (3.40)

 

indriyāṇi — the senses; mano = manaḥ — the mind; buddhir = buddhiḥ — the intelligence; asyādhiṣṭhānam = asya — if this + adhiṣṭhānam — warehouse; ucyate — it is authoritatively stated; etair = etaiḥ — with these; vimohayatyeṣa = vimohayaty (vimohayati) — confuses + eṣa — this; jñānam — insight; āvṛtya — is shrouded; dehinam — embodied soul

 

It is authoritatively stated that the senses, the mind and the intelligence are the combined warehouse of the passionate enemy. By these faculties, the lusty power confuses the embodied soul, shrouding his insight. (3.40)
