Center of eyebrows focus / Ramakrishna

In a contact association with Ramakrishna Paramhansa on April 20, 2017, he showed what he was introduced to by Tota Puri, the yogi who directed him in meditation upon the formless. Nothing was discussed about this formless perception but only on the location of the place which was the focus of the meditation which Tota Puri introduced:

The description is that Tota Puri after finding a piece of glass he took it up and stuck it between Ramakrishna’s eyebrows. Tota told Ramakrishna to concentrate the mind on that point.

Reading this one may feel that it is the center of the eyebrows on the skin of the body. However Ramakrishna showed me that it is not so. It is he said just nominally so because traditionally, that is how this place was described in India at the time. The actual place is within the head of the subtle body, back about one to two inches from the skin. There he said one should discover a pocket or gap. In that gap one should collect the energy of focus or the interest-energy of the self. He said it should not leak out or be dispersed from there.

That place, he said should not be like a porous, unbaked clay jar in which water evaporates away. It is but should be like a glazed jar which has a glass-like coating through which the water can never leak. One should collect one’s attention there.
