Bliss Body / Which One?
When it comes to the koshas or special bodies used by an individual (jivatma), there is listed a bliss form, known as ananda maya. This is given as the highest encasement or absorption in consciousness besides the bare self or atma.
However how does one sort which level is which, regarding the type of bliss. How does one know if the bliss sheath is a particular type of pleasure-energy or a particular happiness-feeling?
A bliss body is realized when one does breath-infusion and kundalini is stimulated into moving through the spine into the head of the subtle body. The experience is realized mostly in the subtle head, with the brahmrandra crown chakra becoming prominent with a white-gold bliss yielding light which seems to be pouring out of the top of the head.
There are other bliss experiences with cell kundalini which is different to the spinal sushumna nadi kundalini. In cell kundalini bliss is felt in the trunk of the body, here and there or throughout the trunk. This bliss is milder and more evenly distributed. Instead of having a white-gold color it has a white color with a blueish tinge. It is less dramatic then spinal kundalini bliss expression.
One of my teachers, Yogeshwarananda, is presently staying on a bliss level which is reached through aggressive breath-infusion (bhastrika), where one shifts up to that bliss level when the subtle body is fully surcharged with fresh subtle energy which is ingested to it by breath infusion practice.
One definite way to reach a living or departed yoga teacher, is to become re-situated on the plane of consciousness, where that person resides. Breath infusion is one rapid method of getting there.
