Blaring Consciousness (bhāsvatā/dīptimantam)

When the mind energy, of its own according, without a restraining force from the willpower, takes it upon itself to withhold itself from sensual pursuits, and when in that condition, it does not feel undone or dissatisfied, that is a version of spontaneous pratyahar sensual restraint.

In that condition there may be a sounding in the mind, a high frequency resonance. That is the naad sounding. The yogi may be aware of the blaring spiritual energy which emanates from the coreSelf. Or he may be aware of the shining and be conscious of the naad resonance simultaneously.

That is a dharana/dhyana deliberate/spontaneous meditative absorption. It can be used to test for the duration of natural focus to measure the maximum time for the mind to focus and then to defocus within its surrounds.
