Any time there is something which is perceived as a threat to someone's existence, that person is motivated to migrate.

Take Gautam Buddha for example, he met some circumstances which others regular participate in and willingly so, but he perceived those instances as threat and went on a course to avoid any encounters with those situations which to him, were less than desirable.
