    Thanks for the clarification!

I guess up to this point I did the default automatic method, meaning simply jumping (moving) to the back of the head and placing attention there. In the jumping/moving part you feel the heavy force for retreating a bit inside the head.

I got to read the part which explains a little bit more how the meditation is done from Meditation Pictorial.

As you explained here, the progress seems to be a little bit different as stated from the Astral Projection book.

The astral projection is a more simple procedure, it's just feeling yourself sinking to the back part of the head and having your attention placed there, but still the core-self is facing the front if I am not wrong.

But in meditation pictorial you actually are twisting the subtle head profile to the back, meaning the subtle eyes are facing the back of the gross head, and the gross head eyes are facing the subtle head's back, as implied in the picture.

the physical eyes might actually move to the sides during the retreatings.

Which should be really hard if I do it correctly, since there is this heavy force that actually resist you very hard from looking through the gross head, it just turns you away, and even if managing that, it will just be for a split second, so actually it's very challenging and having to fight this heavy retreating force the whole session, which should be really the point if that's the way I understand it.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I had a dream recall this night in which a girl I work with instructed me on how to do the back to the head in a correct way.

First she wanted me to look at her physically the way she does it. Since everything happens inside, I won't see/learn anything from the physical form. though she did mention something about her skull moving while going backward mentally. I could see her gross head and a bit of her skull the same time.

Then she putted my left hand on the forehead and the right hand on the back head, so I can have more awareness control.

Then she standing before me, she went from right to left and left to right wanting me to follow her with my eyes, and then she circled around me at that point I mentally had to follow her backwards inside my head.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Could you please clarificate the way it's described in Meditation Pictorial, is it a more advanced procedure than the more easy attempt as described in Astral Projection?

And what are the differences in the head to back meditation and listening to naad sound alone?

Could listening to naad sound alone induce astral projection?

    MiBeloved's Response:

This heavy force is very important since it is the weight or momentum energy of your attachment to the frontal part of the subtle head, because that area provides you with entertainment and it accepts inputs through the senses.

Feeling that heavy force, gives you some idea of what you are up against in terms of the struggle of your will power to change the core-self’s orientation. It is also a way to gage the power of attraction between the core-self and the buddhi intellect orb.

Do you feel you can break that power?

    Are you strong enough?

Never mind all that oneness crap from phony transcendentalists. This is the real experience in kriya yoga practice: the struggle within the psyche (the so called self) for its freedom from the adjuncts.  Patanjali speaks of kevalam and kaivalyam and that does not mean oneness unless such oneness is alone-ness or the core-self being alone without the influence of the adjuncts. The core-self has its task defined in this practice by the power of that same heavy force.

    Are you a whim?

Will you allow the adjuncts to continue running the show?

Can you do something about it, or do you have to just settle for being a whim forever?

    MiBeloved's Response:

This is correct, it is like the core-self is spring loaded to just face forward, so if you manage to turn it around, then it immediately flies back to its default position. The same thing is experienced with the entire head of the subtle body, where its default position is to be situated like the physical one.

To be sure you understand it:

This means two actions: one is the subtle head with its components turning backwards as one object, and the other is just the core-self alone turning not the subtle head. In either case, that resistance is there.

    MiBeloved's Response:

Naad sound alone can cause conscious astral projection.

However you have to first understand that what I am describing is not astral projection but awareness that it has or that it is taking place. You do not cause astral projection. You become aware that it is taking place. Or you become aware that it took place and now you find yourself conscious in the astral body.

This is totally different to what it says in most books and on most sites on the Internet where you are told that you can cause astral projection. I am saying that you cannot cause it. What you can do is to facilitate it or induce the system which does it to operate it. That system is the kundalini.

Jettins and others may have a system where you can cause it but I am not teaching that.

    Hello Thomer Scheepens,

I could give you some ideas on how I have unlocked my astral potential, but go ahead and ask a specific question if you like.

Sorry about that, that's what I meant, I used the wrong word.

    Thanks Jettins,

I am not really sure what it means to really cause an astral projection.

I thought that when people use methods such as WILD and DILD, it actually helps you keep awareness the moment the subtle body gets separated from the physical body, what actually happens is you are keeping your mind awake with whatever method, and usually people avoid moving the body so the body will go to sleep, if you keep staying aware you will be aware of the separation.

What are your views about it?

    Practice Session 26/09/2012

Breath Infusion & Meditation: Did 45 minutes of Breath Infusion, added some more postures. After immediately back to head meditation for 20 minutes, very challenging, kept on trying to resist the turning force, it's like arm wrestling.
