Each of us is surrounded by a psychological cloud of energy through which we either see or do not see other dimensions or into the spiritual dimension. So we are cordoned off like that. When accidentally or deliberately we become totally detached from that cloud of energy or if we are able to eliminate it, then the chit akash is reached.

Physical pressing of the eyes cannot take a person to chit akash but it can take one to other dimensions in the astral world. Chit akash is not part of the astral system but is outside of it. It is for that reason that I do not usually teach pressing of the eyes or encourage people to do it. It is a huge hoax played on student yogis by some gurus.
