It is like arriving in a room with no visible light. It's pitch black/absolute darkness, and I had no idea where I was.
Remark:
This statement is of interest because mostly in meditation, one does not see distinct light. Instead, one sees a kind of frosted mix of many colors but these add up to nothing distinct and are represented to the coreSelf, the observer, as no light or as nothingness light.
Another important fact is that there is this idea, this teaching, that the self is itself a light. Many gurus issue such statements but they do not explain how to realize the self as light. And they fail to admit that the self usually does not, I repeat, does not experience itself as light or as a light or as a random type of light.
