Once when I shared some of my experiences with Ajahn Chaiya (my Buddhist teacher) he simply said:
Some experiences you only get once.
This goes along with other instructions:
1) to not have any expectations
2) be grateful with whatever you get, and that
3) sometimes no matter how hard we try, concentration does not develop in some sessions
Alfredo worked really hard and he had cancer on his foot which motivated him to try and delay death and make progress before death came. I’m happy that you benefitted from our notes. I’ve always felt that my inSelf practice formed a good foundation for Buddhist meditation.
