different reasons come to mind as to why this may happen. But I am not for sure. So I’d like to ask as to why the two of you would meet again (and in some heavenly world)?

We do not belong here, to put it in plain English. Recognizing each other as being strangers here and as knowing each other elsewhere prior, we understood that we would see each other elsewhere in the future.
Reason for this?
Consider it to be something which has no reason, as some events cannot fit into a sensible framework.
