Yogi takes a meat-eating body

Sometimes I get the feeling that some members expect me to report every day on my practice and meditation experience. It is true that something happens daily even though it might be an occurrence of no significance. If you turn on the weather channel there will be a report, either one that is sensation or one that is ordinary.

Just as someone might think I should file a report, initially I was thinking that others too would file reports and that idea has turned out to be largely a disappointment. Someone might feel that the standard of reporting is too high, and thus they do not want to embarrass themselves. What can be said?

During practice today I was working on the legs and feet. This is being done because of the interest of and instructions received from Tibeti Yogi in the astral world. To tell the truth, even though I was doing breath infusion practice for about 38 years now in this body, still I did not focus on the legs and feet. I did initially when I began to do asanas formally under the training of Authur Beverford in the Philippines. Then I stressed myself out trying to do the lotus posture.

Since I was using a body which was from a family of crude people who had no interest in anything like yoga or reincarnation, it was tough going initially. I grew up eating flesh, fish, eggs and such items which are against the dietary rules for brahmins in India. These foods make for a good sturdy materialistic body but they are not conducive to yoga asanas, where loose limbs are an asset. With such a body, I could not do the lotus initially.

I was beginning at that time, when I met Beverford, to recall my past lives in India as a yogi and so I desperately wanted to resume my yoga profile and it was a struggle.

Beverford was not a strict vegetarian, so I got no support from him with that, even though he did contribute other important aspects, like the proper way to do the asanas, brow chakra centering, meditation, and also some literature which was written by Rishi Singh Gherwal, his yoga guru who was deceased.

I tried everything I could to get my body to change so that I could do lotus. I used to study the anatomy of the thighs and legs because I realized that so long as these areas were taut and stiff, the lotus posture would not be possible. After about six months of doing a bouncing down exercise, which I invented, I was able to sit in lotus but it was very uncomfortable.

After that when I finally got the thighs and legs to loosen up and I could sit in lotus with relative ease, I no longer focused directly on the thighs and feet. Actually initially the student cannot focus on anything but the gut area, the sex energy area, the base chakra area, the spine and the third eye. That is about it.

Later after I got serious with myself regarding celibacy, I was confronted with the fact that the pubic area cannot be conquered so long as the thighs are not reformed. Strong healthy thighs make for good sex but that puts a damper on the amount of energy kundalini could send or contribute to the sushumna central spinal passage and the brain.

With help from Yogi Harbhajan Singh and from Swami Shivananda, I again turned my attention to the thighs but I did not award much importance to the legs as Tibeti Yogi is emphasizing. Getting help from proficient yogis is a must for rapid development in these practices. If you are alone and are not open to more advanced souls, your progress will not be steady because by yourself you won’t be inspired into certain techniques which others mastered and which you require for progression.
