Yogi is pulled into astral Trinidad

Last night my astral body was pulled into an adjacent astral dimension which corresponds physically to the island of Trinidad. I found myself in a house there with an old man whom I used to know. I had stayed under his hospitality in 1967 after the father of my body lost his job as a marine pilot on the island. My karmic merits for living in Guyana where the body was born had fizzed out, just like when you take an antacid and drop it into a glass of water. The thing bubbles with life for a bit and then it just disappears finally after a few final bubbles appear.
In each life, one exhausts certain effervescent karmic energies. When they fizz out one has to move on, regardless of whether one prefers to or not. I wasn’t particularly interested in returning to Guyana but at the same time, I had no clear view of the future. Sometimes life carries one forward blindfolded and sometimes life carries one forward providing so much information that one becomes flattered and very confused.
I was with the old man in the astral house which was exactly like the house he had some years ago when he was living on the physical side. Now he is deceased. He lives in the same place but on the astral side. The house he has now is extended. He was ranting and raving about his life’s accomplishments despite the struggle he faced in life. He was giving himself credit and wanting me to verify that he did accomplish such things. Unfortunately even if I would have chipped in, it would have done nothing because on the physical side, his merits cannot be used in exactly the same way as he desires. He felt that since he worked for what he had, that he was entitled to be fated with a birth opportunity which matched what he was doing in his past life.
This happens to many people where they feel that since they earned their keep they are entitled to this and to that, to the sun, the moon, the earth, and whatever else makes sense within the frame work of their materialistic plans. But one thing we need to bear in mind is that fate is free to mothball our accomplishments, to scrap them as it were. Fate does not have to continually sponsor what we do. Some of what we do can be left aside, undeveloped by fate, like the buildings in a town which were abandoned when a mine shut down. People had to leave because there was no money and the whole scene became that of a ghost town.
Some of our lives are like abandoned projects left to rot as victimized by time. So if this happens, one should just walk on with one’s head down and not be annoyed about it. I recently built a house in Guyana. The house is sitting there. I cannot live in it; instead I am living like a nomad travelling across the US right now. One of my gurus, which is just a stature in South Korean temple compound, said, “Do not return there at this time. Stay out in the developed countries.”
So there are many reasons why the house which Jack built became the residence of someone else or just remained vacant while Jack slept in the open under a tent. What should Jack do, cry over it, or rant and rave about it as an accomplishment? The bird built the nest but a snake noticed it and went there. The bird barely escaped with its life.
The old man kept explaining how he built the house and what honest work he performed for many years to buy the materials. He was like so many people who are proud of their accomplishments and who imagine that this is all about earning your keep. They are a sorry lot. They just don’t seem to get it, that this is a child’s play. What does the ocean care about the sand castles children quickly but seriously erect on the shore of a beach?
Why bother to build a mansion by your sweat and blood, by your honest labor, when the angels are living in the celestial paradises which they never built by labor and by honest endeavor. Why not go to heaven and live in luxury without having to endeavor to produce it honestly or dishonestly. In this world both the so called honest hard working blokes and the wealthy criminal dudes are in illusion and misidentify themselves with the material energy. Their mistake is that they focus on physical existence when they have a material body and do the same thing when they have only a subtle body in the interim state after death.
It is not your honestly or dishonest, your work ethic or beg-borrow-steal approach, it is your focus down into the material world which condemns you to take birth after birth without the least bit of self realization.
As I was listening to the old man rave on about his accomplishments in his last body, I could not think of a way of making him see what it was all. He was hard stuck on the material world, riveted into it like steel stud on the hull of battleship.
Eventually I left that astral place exhausted at his attitude.
