Yogi finally Gains some Authority

MiBeloved 5 years ago

Today there was an interesting conversation with Sri Siri Harbhajan Singh Sahib on the astral or psychic level of existence. For about at least 8months now I was doing some kriyas during breath infusion practice, which were done with stress on blasting out the sushumna passage.

This is a process in which the passage itself is brought to a white heat condition and then the walls of the cylindrical sushumna practically vaporizes. I had used a procedure from Srila Yogeshwarananda and some from Rishi Singh Gherwal which resulted in pulling up kundalini into the head. This has to do with drawing up kundalini so that it is a stub under the brain where the brain stem is located.

In that practice, due to kundalini being pulled up into the brain, the yogi has a new chore for maintaining the trunk of the body without much help from kundalini, which is really the force which is assigned by nature for that service. At first when one achieves this kundalini pull up, there will be small kundalinis firing here and there like lightning or like compressed bliss energy in various parts of the trunk of the body.  These will occur just by the buildup of the infused energy which is pumped in vigorously during breath-of-fire practice.

The yogi does not cause any of these small kundalinis to happen. They occur because of the action of the infusion such that during one session they occur in one place and then on the next day or during the next session they occur somewhere else seemingly in a random way like when lightning strikes.

The yogi does not exercise visualization in these practices. If there is enough static electricity in the air and if there are clouds which are charged, there is no need to imagine what lighting would be like or to try to cause it by visualization. It will occur if one just waits and sees.

Due to completing these practices successfully, Yogi Bhajan was happy about this. He said:

=========================

“You can now tell anyone that you are authorized by me to teach kundalini yoga as a master teacher of the breath-of-fire process.”

Then I asked him if I should go and open an ashram and hang up a sign and post ads in yoga magazines. He got real serious then and said,

“You are a student what do you know about opening ashrams? Who has given you the okay to do that? I never said that. You are just a boy. What is the matter with you? Do you want the responsibility which will break your back and send you back down to the monkey level?”

“Someone becomes a master and then he is told by a master to teach. But others become masters and are not given that authority. And it is for their own good. Keep on instructing one or two people who are submissive and want to learn. Otherwise accelerate your practice. We want full success for you. Ashram start-up and teaching publicly is the most frequent cause of fall down. I do not wish that on those children whom I love dearly.”

=========================

I was joking when I asked Yogiji, the dear father, if I should open an ashram and advertise through yoga magazines, but he took the inquiry seriously anyway.

The nice thing about having a close respectful relationship superior teachers is that one cannot act whimsically. One cannot come up with plans to do anything. Unless they permit, one does not go off and begin anything for which one does not understand the full liabilities and karmic implications. One does not do anything which runs contrary to the will of Krishna, the Universal Form which Arjuna saw. And so one remains in the divine grace with its infallible protection which results in one not having to take whimsical troublesome rebirths in the mundane evolutionary cycle at the whim of providence.

Otherwise if one does not have a respectful and adhering relationship with a superior soul or with superior souls, one is left to one’s own devices without any idea of a deity and no coverage from doing things for which one will be sorry later on in this life or the next.
