Yogi Bhajan: Attacking Sushumna Nadi

I was in communication with Sri Yogi Bhajan for the last 4 days. He gave me an instruction to record which is that once a yogi is able to consistently raise kundalini on a daily basis without fail, and after this was done for some time say about two years, the yogi should forego that practice and strive for a different goal which is to flush out sushumna nadi central spinal passage daily, at least once per day, preferably twice per day.
This is not a mental process but a process of using inhaled breaths to do the job. This is not the same as the processes of visualization. Those are a different procedure. This is an aggressive process of infusing air into the system and causing it to build up to the extent that it enters sushumna nadi and pushes out the old energy which has lodged there.
Persons who do visualization to raise kundalini might be able to use their process to achieve this. They could try and report on their success.
When the yogi achieves flushing of sushumna nadi, the naad sound is heard in the back of the head and it seems that there is a long cylindrical tube going down into the body. This tube seems to be grey-misty inside or it might appear to have a sort of black or dark brown light within it.
Sometimes it appears to be clear and full of light or full of bliss energy.
Srila Yogeshwaranada had given the instruction for raising kundalini to the crown at least once per day but Harbhajan Mahayogin (Yogi Bhajan), said that the raising of kundalini to the crown might give a yogi a false confidence unless the yogi understands that such raising has to be done to the extent of having a completely flushed-out sushumna nadi, where kundalini remains exposed from the top and is not allowed to cover itself up with dark energy again.
This instruction brings to our attention the fact that when kundalini moves into the head, its tendency is to immediately resume its position in its favorite location which is the base chakra and when it does that it pulls over itself a dark energy to hide itself, just the way a person in a dark cave who prefers to be in darkness would pull a blanket over himself if light enters the cave.
To stop kundalini from doing this and to cause kundalini to abandon its natural tendency, one has to strive in pranayama breath infusion practice to keep sushumna nadi clear.
Sushumna nadi will not remain clear on its own accord, nor by mere willpower because that is not its natural tendency. Therefore if a yogin wants to keep it clear, he has to strive daily for that achievement. To say that one’s kundalini remains at the crown chakra always, is like saying that one’s teeth remains clean always, which is an impossibility. Nature just does not support such cleanliness.
Yogi Bhajan wanted to alert yogis, not to get any fanciful ideas about what they can do to kundalini by will power or even by an irregular practice.

Dean’s query:
If I understand you correctly, we are still continuing our pranayama practice but our objective of the practice changes?? Not only are we flushing the water up the pipes to the top floor once per day (twice preferably) but now we are flushing the water up the pipes with special attention to keep the pipes clear of any dirt, sludge or any other impediments.

Dean,
That is the gist of it. Another change is in our interest. Initially the effort for raising kundalini is in part an effort to substitute kundalini's climax in sex experience with kundalini's climax in the brain. But this is all kid's stuff and once one gets beyond that sort of motivation, one can really work on the spiritual task.
Initially one does spiritual practice to run away from the hassles and inconveniences in the material world but later when that fades away one does spiritual practice due to attraction to persons who are living on the spiritual level right now. The motivation switches as one progresses.
