Yoga Students Who Teach

In teaching yoga, there is what is called forcing the issue. This has to do with spiritual aspirants who get a harebrained idea to liberate one person or a set of persons, whom material nature is unwilling to release from its control.
Then when one tries to free such persons there is a power struggle between the teacher and material nature, between the teacher and the attachments of the student(s) concerned.
The main mission of a student is to make progression in the way that the yoga-guru advises, especially in gaining more and more mastery of the practice. If the student loses a foothold on this and then takes to helping others, it will be a tussle with material nature, which will be reluctant to release those whom the student wants to assist.
Can someone really be released from the material nature, if it is disinclined from letting that person out of its clutches?
Is a half-way practice really a practice?
Is an agreed justification for a superficial discipline, really a part of yoga?
