When I first sit to meditate

If you were asked what first happens when you sit to meditate, what would you say?

Could you say that for the past month at least, a certain condition of consciousness exists for you consistently when you sat to meditate?

Or is it different on each occasion?

Are all your meditations perfect?

Are some merely a humbug session with you struggling with some other psychic events in your mind?

To be fair, here is my report on this.

Over the years, I found that usually I began from a certain condition of mind, unless I was socially involved and became hung up on a certain event prior to the meditation session.

I also found that over time, as my meditation matured, the base starting point changed. For instance there was a time when I began every session with fighting thoughts, ideas images and memories in the mind.

Then later after some years of consistent effort to upset the influence of thoughts, I found that as soon as I sat to meditate, I successfully turned away from thoughts automatically without even making an effort to do so.
