Please see the diagram below for those who are able to target the thighs in terms of its sponsorship of sex impulse and its ability to charge the bone marrow which it produces with a sex fulfillment urge.
Before one can use this kriya one should clean out the thigh up to the knee. Then one should try to penetrate the knee which is a feat in itself. Recently, Sri Lahiri Mahasaya paid a visit with a student yogi who is in India and who is using a material body. Lahiri himself does not use one and has got rid of the tendency to develop one in his individual psyche.
On the astral side, he brought this student yogi from India to see the condition of my subtle body, particularly the condition of the thigh. There was a discussion between them which ran like this.

This is a result. What you are saying is a theory. Neither you nor anyone else has realized this in terms of changes in your subtle body. We do not see the glow in your subtle form all the same. Why recommend a process which works neither for you or others?
Student:
I was told that anuloma and viloma is the way and that bhastrika is a harsh and unnatural method. I found it strenuous to practice. My relatives are scared by the sound of it, thinking that it will harm the body. I was hopeful that nadi-shodana would give the proper results intended. Maybe bhastrika worked for him because he is a black man. Who knows? Black people are different. In the colonial times, they tolerated slavery. No other race could bear the brunt of that. They are more tolerant of tapa, perhaps. Anyway his result is direct evidence which cannot be denied. I salute him.

In this kriya with the inner thigh, one uses the breath infusion method to purge out all lust energy from the inner thighs. The infused energy is directed there until the area glows with a white heat. No kundalini energy reaches into the head. The entire focus is in the inner thighs.

A yogi (yogini) should lose interest in sexual pleasure and specifically in sexual intercourse in terms of the meeting of the organs. One should work real hard at this and rid the psyche of the flashing of the sexual organs. In the material world, on planet earth, everything is centered on sexual intercourse, there is no way around it. It cannot be escaped because it is the only way to get an embryo. So long as this place is configured for getting human bodies through fucking, there is no hope for escaping from sexual indulgence.
Pleasure has nothing to do it. Pleasure is trivial stuff. The main drive for sex has to do with the crisis of having temporary bodies and having to jump over to another body, to an embryo. Crossing to the next embryo is hazardous, just as when I grew up in Guyana as a kid. It used to be that sometimes when we would be going from one port to another by boat, one person would get a message by ship telephone to return at once from the place where we joined the vessel. The captain would announce on the loud speaker that such and such a person should prepare to jump ship in a few hours when the ship would reach another ship which was going to the port from which we departed some hours ago.
Then in an hour or so, the other ship could be seen in the distance. It would get close and then everyone would be looking to see the man jump from the ship to the other vessel. This is dangerous because a few persons fell overboard in the ocean and drown doing this. Every other passenger would be looking to see what would happen. His friends would be thinking like this:
“God bless him. He has to go back. God spare his life when he jumps.”
Those who had hard feeling for him would think like this,
“Fuck him! May the son of a bitch fall overboard? May the ship propeller pull him under? May a shark eat him?”
Then others who did not know the man and who were unsympathetic would think like this:
“Who care what happens to him? How do we know that our vessel will not go down after he leaves it? It may be that he was our good luck. Now God took him to the other ship. Maybe we are doomed and will never see the blessed land. Why are we out here in the ocean if we are not fish? Maybe God had a plan to kill us so as to feed the fish whose families we ate.”

Sexual pleasure is nothing. It is child’s play, bullshit. It is a token something which nature teases us with. We should stop taking it seriously and get to the real issue which is fucking to get a body. Everything hinges on two people fucking to provide bodies and besides that sex means absolutely nothing.
Don’t break your back for it for its own sake. There is nothing in it if no one gets a body through it. The old Vedic system was very hefty about sex. It was a religious ritual for the upper classes. A priest would be invited once a young man was to be married to a young woman. And then the priest would say to them something like this but not in such vulgar terms, talking with etiquette but what it boils down to be was this:

“Okay, you two will be formally married. I will do the rites. But for sex, that is controlled by me. I will tell you when to fuck. You will do it just like I said and then there will be a baby. That is it. Once the child comes out, your forefather is here again in human form. And then we have to cooperate for the infant’s benefit. That is it.
“How much sex can you have? Well just enough to achieve these infants. That is all. Otherwise there is no need for sex. Once the infant is born, whatever is down there should move into the breasts to produce milk, and into the chest and arms to do employment for a livelihood.”

That was the old Vedic way. It is not like that today but in the back of our minds, we should keep the Vedic information prominent, so that we do not stray away too far from the Vedic way because the Vedic suggestions are the way of the gods. Devanagari means language (nagari) of the gods (devas). Sanskrit language introduces us to the lifestyle of the gods, so that we can get some idea of what to do to go and live with the gods. This is real environment where people are existing elsewhere in other dimensions.
There are also descriptions of how the gods became human beings or animals. One such story is the one about Samjna and the sun god. So in this story, Samjna was thinking that she was married to the wrong person, because the sun god has so much energy that she could not get her hands around him.
This is like most of the females in this world, they want power to control men. They do not want to be under the thumb of men. The sun god is powerful and so Samjna was unhappy being with him. Many women do not want to be with a very powerful man whom they cannot subdue.
Samjna hatched a plan where she created another woman who was the same as herself and who was really her shadow personified. She then instructed this double person to stay with the sun god. Samjna then left and the shadow woman Chaya served as the principal wife of the sun-god. After this Chaya got a son but there were three sons before that which were produced from Samjna and Chaya used to be favored of her son and used to neglect her step sons.
Noticing this, the sun god divined what happened. He immediately went to look for his original woman who was Samjna, and who assumed the form of a mare and was hiding from him on the earthly planet. Being sexually desirous of being with her, the sun god took the form of stallion and ran after her, and penetrated her for sexual indulgence.
So here we see how even the gods come down for sexual intercourse in the vulgar way of the animal species. There is a picture of an idol with the sun god and the two women here:

There are two ways, the upper passage and the downward one. The gods use both passages because if they have to talk to a human being who has no mystic ability, they will have to come into material existence. And if they are to return to their celestial place, they will have to get away from material existence. Both methods are used by them.
To go upwards one has to change the configuration of the subtle body. That is all there is to it. It does not matter what methods one uses, whether it be mantra (sound), raga (music), yantra (art), samyama meditation (introspection), puja (ceremony) or whatever. There is no argument about method. Whatever really works for you is the method, just be sure not to con yourself with something which you are not progressing by.
Dig up and make progress and go to the world of the gods any which way that is serviceable to you.

Thank you very much for emphasizing this, specially about the sex merry-go-round.
I have done anulom vilom to my heart's content and it is not the same as bhastrika or kapalbhati (Breath of Fire). You would need hours of anulom vilom to get the same results of 1/2 hour of the other type.
Not even the Thokar 2nd Kriya pranayama, which is more forceful than anulom vilom and verily more or less in the middle of the 2 described above, yielded the results that I have obtained with the breath-of-fire, and I also did it for hours at a time.
Not to mention the important fact that your Kundalini Yoga now combines and introduces Hatha Yoga or asanas into the process, so the practitioner does not have to do Ashtanga's steps 4 and 5 separately, but instead combines them both into one solid step.

Thanks’ Alfredo Prabhuji, for pointing out how Yogi Madhvacaharya is giving us a more inclusive process compared to the one’s you have already experienced.
I think your idea of a verse a day from the Anu-Gita is absolutely marvelous.
Personally, Iam on my second reading of that yogically gargantuan literature.
