This is only a trailer of main Ramayanas, there are at least 300 versions of Ramayana:

  1. Ramayana in several languages
  2. The local version of Ramayana (India, Tibet, South-East Asia...)
  3. Adaptation of Valmiki Ramayana
  4. Adaptation of Adaptation of Valmiki Ramayana (Yes, You read it right, not a typo)
  5. Ramayana interpreted in each religion or sect (like Jain, Khmer, Buddhism, Kerala Muslim songs)

How do you know what you read/ heard/ saw is the Orginal Valmiki Ramayana?

How do you trace the origin of Ramayana?

Are you going to read all these adaptations of the original Valmiki Ramayana to know which is original?

Or directly read Orginal Valmiki Ramayana and anything deviating from Valmiki Ramayana is rejected as Adaptations?

Brahma (supernatural deity, the creator of this universe) himself asked Valmiki to write Ramayana. Is there a better orgin than this?
