Recently within the past two weeks, I had the opportunity to visit a Unity church in Florida. It is interesting to observe the ceremony, and lay out of programs. Here we have a religion which is unbiased to other religious systems.

One special feature of Unity is their acceptance of many other religions besides Christianity. They also have an open mind toward various methods, even some which are abhorred by Christianity.

An example of this is that in a speech there was mention of Christ and Krishna with a statement stressing Krishna as Krisht-na, where Krisht was pronounced like Christ.

There was a lecture about the ancient Egyptians explaining that the resurrection as a religious feature was in practice long before the birth of Jesus Christ.

The Unity church has yoga classes. There is a bookstore which has books from various religions.

I got the impression that their main religious process was to raise the self-esteem in regards to desire for abundance and to pray for those who requested assistance with issues.

Their idea is that God is One and that each of the religions has to do with that one God.

I like this Church.

Hariharananda's organization used to do events with it often. It was through it that I, back in the 1990s, found out about Kriya Yoga initiation with them. They were also active in Puerto Rico for the same purpose.

As per what you wrote: I got the impression that their main religious process was to raise the self-esteem in regards to desire for abundance and to pray for those who requested assistance with issues.

This impression conforms to my experience, which is that this originally was an anglosaxon-started outfit with influence from early New Age authors like Emmet Fox and Florence Scovel Shinn, plus the Theosophical movement of Madame Blavastky and Colonel Olcott.

A recent culmination of this approach was the book and CD by an Australian author named "The Secret", which entertains the so-called "law of attraction" for "abundance" that was in vogue at the beginning of the 19th century in the US (again Emmet Fox and Scovel Shinn).
