This is from Pavlina’s forum:
Someone’s dream experience:
See explanation below:
I have had some experiences where things I have dreamed about have come true. After I have done some research on OBE's, I am wondering if I had an OBE or was it just a dream.
I had my first experience with astral projection when I was 14, but I was only out of my body for about a minute before I went back into my body.
The first instance of a "dream" that came true was when my grandmother died.
Here is some background information surrounding my grandmother's death...
She died in October of 2000, when I was 17. My grandmother was found dead outside in front of her porch. It was initially thought she was murdered because initially it looked like blood splattered all over the sidewalk. (She painted the day before she died and I hadn't visited her in 2 weeks)The coroner later determined that it was red paint. He also said that it didn't appear to be foul play and an autopsy was never performed due to her age (83).
The morning my grandmother died, I had a very vivid dream that I was at her house. In this dream, I was walking down the steps of her porch when I fell. After I fell, I remember looking around seeing what looked like blood on the sidewalk.
That is all that happened in the dream. But the dream caused me to suddenly wake up and my heart was beating really fast.
I went to school but felt uneasy. Finally, my mother came to me by 2nd period and told me my grandmother was found dead.
This dream has been "haunting" me for 10 years.
I am almost certain that I was with her when she died. However, the thing I am confused about is that it was ME who fell off of the porch...not her. After I stood up after I fell, I didn't see her body.
The 2nd instance in which came true is the death of my great grandfather.
I was in 7th grade and I had a dream that he was in the hospital hooked up to a breathing machine. I don't recall anyone speaking, but in the dream I just knew it was from a heart attack. In my dream, I saw him die.
Three months later, we got the call that he had passed away. He ended up having a heart attack and died after he had been in the hospital on life support for a few days.
Again, I am not sure if this was a dream or maybe some sort of time travel through astral projection?
Since this time, I have had a few more dreams come true. It never really felt like astral projection like the instance I had when I was 14. When I experienced astral projection then, I saw my body and it just felt different than my "dreams".
Any insight on this would be appreciated.

MiBeloved's Response:
Astral projection like this experience takes place using an astral body, even though on some occasions one cannot see that body since it is invisible to one’s perception. So this means that you are in an astral body while you are out of the physical one and then the two systems synchronize and feel as a physical body does.
Astral projection is taking place anytime the physical body sleeps. But we are not always aware of the separation. On this occasion you were aware.

MiBeloved's Response:
The astral body does not die. But it might mimic the actions of the physical form. If in a dream you experience the death of someone, that is an illusion or it is their dream form or astral form falsely mimicking the physical system.
In this case that happened because your mind and your grandmother’s mind superimposed physical interpretation into the astral side of existence.
This is an astral experience but your mind interpreted it as a dream, meaning that your mind dismissed it as merely a dream and not as a real experience. It was a real experience in the sense that you were on the astral side and so was your grandmother.

MiBeloved's Response:
This is another valid astral experience; but again your mind interpreted this as a dream only and also adjusted your grandfather’s astral form to mimic a physical action. It is important to understand that when people say that a person is a spirit or is a ghost, they are actually referring to the astral form of the person. Since this astral form vibrates at different high or low frequencies, it is mistaken to be more than one form. In a low vibration it may be seen as a ghost and in a high vibration as an angel or divine being. It is the same astral body.
It does not die like a physical form but it can mimic physical sickness and death even though it survives through all of that unlike the physical form.
Because you were only stressing the physical existence of these elderly relatives, your mind interpreted everything in these experiences in terms of physical reality only.
