To Be Born or To be Rejected

Last night in the astral world, I was pulled into some discussions about reincarnation, specifically dealing with those who were for reproduction and those who were against it.
People who have material bodies are more likely to be disinclined to reproduction. For them it means responsibility for infants, something that begins with one pleasure act and ends some 19 years after with many pleasure acts in between but also with the hazards of social compliance or non-compliance.
One hereafter person said:
Give me a birth opportunity. Do not be so selfish. Soon your body will pass on and then what? You also will be looking for a birth opportunity. Give this some consideration. Do not be selfish for short ranged purposes. If you help me now, I will help you in the future when you are down and out on the astral planes with nowhere to go.
One person who still uses a physical body said this:
Reincarnation is just an idea. When I am dead, I will be dead. I will decompose and become soil. In the meantime why should I tie myself up with family responsibilities? Even if I meet someone and fall in love, I will be after the love for its own sake. I won’t do anything which will encumber me in the future. Read into that that I will have no children.
