Third Eye /Analytical Orb Comparison

Meditation after breath infusion was different this morning since I was doing the Agnisara practice kriya of Swami Rama. It usually leads to third eye opening but this morning there was a special clarity during the infusion in the lower part of the body. Thoughts which came from others or which lingered in the psyche from before were forced down into the body to the area which was being infused and they were dissipated by the infused force.

This particular kriya of Agnisara begins with infusion from the navel down through a tube which is about 2 inches in diameter in the subtle body and which travels from the navel down the center of the body at a slant through the pubic floor. When that is first done and when that tube is completely cleared of grayish energy, there is usually a switch to another part inside the subtle body.

The yogi does not try to control or dictate this switch. It happens automatically like when using the auto transmission of a car. In the case of a car which has stick-shift, the driver has to manipulate everything. With auto transmission, everything is done by a preprogrammed system which is designed to operate on the basis of the acceleration of the engine. Similarly in this practice, the yogi does not operate anything but the infusion, and that like the acceleration of the car, causes switches in the subtle body.

Because of the efficient breath infusion, the physical eyes went up into the head immediately as soon as I sat to meditate. This meant that no effort was made to do this. The eyes were pulled up by a mystic force which was generated by the breath infusion. One can sit to meditate and then force the eyes up but this is not that practice. This is when the eyes moved up of their own accord and one notices that this was done. One also observes the pulling force which pulled the eyes up. So what is the value of this eye up-pull feature?

It is this:

When this happens automatically it usually means that the energy which coursed through the optic nerves was retracted. This is a pratyahar practice. In the Meditation Pictorial book, there is a third eye blast practice. In that one can practice to pull up the eyes but the main thing in that is to discover the optic nerves and to realize that they are the primary cause of leakage of psychic energy out of the psyche.

One has to find these nerves, find the energy which courses out of the psyche through them and pull back that energy. But when the eyes move up off their own accord, it means that the energy through the optic nerves have reversed all by themselves and the yogi no longer has to exert himself or herself for that practice.

This is a glory day for the yogi when his efforts at pratyahar sensual energy restraint have paid off big time.

Let me go this over one more time. The energy which tracks out of the psyche through the optic nerves is a large leakage of psychic power out of the psyche, so if that energy stops leaking of its own accord by doing the breath infusion practice, then the yogi is free from the 5th stage of yoga, which is pratyahar.

So after this happen what is next:

Well the next stage is of course the 6th stage of yoga which is dharana linkage (nor mergence, not oneness) of the attention of the yogi to a higher concentration force or extra-dimensional place or person. This begins with the dismissal of third eye focus.

The reason why third eye focus is dismissed at this stage even though it is a very advanced and desired practice before this is:

The yogi focuses then on the analytical orb which is a psychic organ, a globule. This is called buddhi in Sanskrit and in Chapter 2 of the Gita, buddhi yoga is discussed to Arjuna.

Third eye has importance but it is nothing in comparison to this buddhi orb. This thing is the intellect and it is a psychic organ even though normally we think that it is our ability to understand and figure things out. It is an organ but it is a psychic organ in the head of the subtle body.

This thing is very troublesome but it is the gate way to supernatural perception from this level of existence. It is known by its location. Initially one just has to take my word for it because one cannot see it. Initially one knows it by taking note of where thoughts arise and where images arise in the mind. Wherever those impressions arise, that is the location of this orb.

When the eyes move up of their own accord, one should take note of that and then use that as a signal of approval that one has moved into kriya yoga in the advanced level of it. One should then locate the attention energy which comes out of the sense of identity which surrounds the core self. This attention energy will be like a ray of light or like a flickering ray. This should be used to make contact with the analytical orb.

This orb is like a crystal ball which one looks into. So the ray of attention is directed into the orb.

In comparison to the third eye, the analytical orb is like a crystal ball while the third eye is like window which you look through. You look into the analytical orb but you look through the 3rd eye. That is the difference between the two.

Another distinction between these is that the third eye is like on the surface of the forehead of the subtle body in between the eyebrows, while the analytical orb is about half way between the cores-self and the surface of the forehead. Location is very important in distinguishing these psychic apparatus.

Third Eye Chakra

My questions is:

Is there any way that what I am seeing here is the buddhi organ and not the third eye?

It seems like this is more of a crystal ball rather than a window.  Also this green donut I see moves, it doesn't stay centered between the eyebrows. I have to adjust my physical eyes to keep focused on it even though my physical eyes are squeezed closed. The other day I was viewing it, opened my physical eyes and it was still there so clearly that it blocked my normal vision for a time and I had to wait it out to go away before I saw normally again.  It just doesn't seem like a window.

And its position seems like where the buddhi would be.

It is the third eye chakra. Just take my word for it for the time being. Third eye chakra is a bit different to the third eye as a window through which to view other dimensions. My description is about the window feature, while your focus here is on the chakra itself.

In its feature as a window the black center will open into a clear space and you will see through it either close-up or from far away.

Buddhi intellect orb cannot be seen like that because its vibration is too high to be seen like that but you can see it in a lower frequency vibration when you are day dreaming.

Practice this instruction below regularly in meditation and you may see it, if you are really eager to see it in a lower state of consciousness:

==================

Sit quietly, either in a dimly lit or dark room or in a forested area where no human made noises are heard.

Then think of something that happened a long time ago but something which you have not forgotten over the years. Try to visualize whatever that was that happened.

Some of this visualization will be just imagination but some of it here and there, a dash here and a dash there will be actual memory, actually going back in time. In some experiences suddenly you will find yourself back staring so that the experiences occur like a factual replay.

The perception instrument which does this visioning is the imagination orb.

==================

You will see the scene at a certain mental distance from you, with a sort of laser focus and in a clear translucent area. That area is the imagination orb.

Another way to see this orb is that it is located between the core-self and the object being pursued by the core self. It is also located where the thinking and imagination takes place in the mind, except there that it does not show to the self. Instead of seeing it the self sees what it displays. One has to have confidence in this information even though one may not have this experience as explained.

Dean's Question: What happens to these thoughts that dissipate by the infused force??

Dean's Question: What happens to these thoughts that dissipate by the infused force?

MiBeloved's Response:

The energy which was used in the manufacture of the thought forms is recycled, the way rejected natural items like food is recycled in composting. But the main thing is that the energy is taken out of the psyche of the yogi, expelled from it.

Thank you and I will of course take your word for it.

I was thinking the intellect orb provided the screen space upon which the imagination/visualization/memory could be brought forth and relived/played out.

Are the intellect orb and imagination orb two separate things or one?

Do you use those terms interchangeably?

MiBeloved 3 years ago

The intellectual orb and the imagination orb are the same thing operating different functions, just as the first gear of a transmission is a different function to the reverse gear but of the same transmission.

Nice explanation Michael, one hundred percent Right On!

Truly you are the genuine Kripa-Acharya, the Acharya bestowing the highest mercy upon us wretched vice ridden creatures.

I am going to have to review this post a few times. Missed it when it was first posted. Good call resurrecting it.

Amazing...this old post answers the question I posed to the Acharya this morning, meaning the difference between the 3rd-eye vision and the other vision available to the subtle body.
