Thigh infused with light

This report is late. This is from the previous morning’s breath infusion session. Something unusual happened where after about ten minutes into the practice outdoors, in a sky overhead which had scattered clouds near the horizon and no clouds overhead, there came to be, a cloud.
Then there was rain. It was a small, very small cloud, which deposited rain over the area where I exercised. Then it fizzed out before going anywhere else. It disappeared. During that time I got come communication from the Indra deity who regulates rainfall. He greeted me as someone who attained his realm and who was eligible to pass beyond it. He said this:
“At least stay with us for a while and then go on. What’s the hurry? Many people here want to speak with you. Bring the other accomplished ones with you.”
It flashed in my mind that Patanjali laid down a rule that a yogi should not accept invitations from sub-deities. Here is the verse:
=======================
Yoga Sutras Chapter 3 Verse 52
स्थान्युपनिमन्त्रणे सङ्गस्मयाकरणं पुनरनिष्टप्रसङ्गात्॥५२॥
sthānyupanimantraṇe saṅgasmayākaraṇaṁ
punaraniṣṭa prasaṅgāt
sthāni – person from the place a yogi would then attain if his material body died; upanimantraṇe – on being invited; saṅga – association; smaya – fascination, wonderment; akaraṇaṁ – non-responsiveness; punaḥ – again; aniṣṭa – unwanted features of existence; prasaṅgāt – due to association, due to endearing friendliness.
On being invited by a person from the place one would attain if the body died, a yogi should be non-responsive, not desiring their association and not being fascinated, otherwise that would cause unwanted features of existence to arise again.
=======================
But all the same I cannot refuse the invitation but I also cannot accept it either otherwise I would violate Patanjali’s instruction. Therefore I accepted the invitation in an official capacity but rejected it for personal purposes.
This invitation marks a turning point where I know for sure that I will go on to, at least, the lower level of the siddhaloka places and will be with advanced yogis who are in those astral places.
Indra is not my enemy so there is no need to avoid his association. For that matter we usually say prayers to Indra before doing breath infusion. The basic mantras are these:
=======================
Om Suryaya namah
Om Somaya namah
Om Indraya namah
Om Pranavayave namah
Jai Sri Mahadeva
This is appreciation to the sun person deity, the moon person deity, the weather person deity, the atmospheric air person deity and Lord Shiva Mahadeva, the patron deity of yogis.
As sons of Shiva, we cannot be hostile to Indra. We are using the weather to help with breath infusion practice, so we can appreciate Indra for his regulation of the weather.
Friends with Indra for pleasure, is what Patanjali is against. That ruins a yogi. In so far as Indra renders service for the upkeep of the material world, one is indebted to this person for services rendered and for the environmental upkeep he maintains.
Going to Indra astral paradise world is not a good idea for any yogi. The allurements there are near impossible to avoid. Nevertheless what must be done must be done, and one should prepare for it.
In the Mahabharata and elsewhere, it is described how the Pandavas and even Lord Krishna passed through the paradise of Indra on their way to higher places. It is doubtful if anyone can really skip those Indra places. Student yogis should try to reach those places before leaving the body, so as to know what happens there, and to become familiar with the life style of the inhabitants.
Such a place is not for yogis but nevertheless if one has to pass through that place, then at least one should know what will happen there and should prepare for it. On a journey one may have to pass through a war zone. As not to be surprised, one should get some briefing from persons who had the experience.
Males, who pass through the Indra paradise world, need to develop the technique of looking the other way when in the presence of the angelic women. Female have to develop the same aspect in relation to the angelic male beings.
I have many girlfriends in the Indra paradise world. Many of these persons want to talk to me. So what would be the subject of such a conversation?
Will it be about yoga?
And if it is about yoga, then what will be the outcome of the association?
What is the punch line in such association?
In this encounter the Indra deity warned me by saying that some persons there want to talk to me. In other words, if I refuse to associate with these persons there will be a lag force which will curtail my ascent to the siddha loka place. I should be aware of that and make up my mind. Either I deal with this association any which way, effectively or ineffectively, do or die, or I can try to go to the siddhaloka world and then find that the lag force prevented me.
=======================
The problem arises because of doing austerities on earth. As soon as the student yogi gets serious and makes a little advancement, he or she becomes imperiled by the glow which emanated from the subtle body. By that glow, the angelic beings perceive that the austerities were performed. They come, examine the situation, draw their own conclusions and make plans to talk to the ascetic.
Once these plans are made, they wait until the ascetic leaves the body finally at its death, then they approach that person and make demands.
Do this for me, one will say.
Do this to me, another will say.
I am your lover as you know, someone will remark.
Live with me in paradise forever, another angelic being will offer.
What a couple the two of us will be in heaven, someone will propose.
Come with me. I have a self-created paradise world which is better than Indra’s, another person will stress.
In that way a yogi needs to know what will happen.
Will he be able to avoid these encounters?
How will he deal with it?
The Indra deity cannot help if somehow when one performed austerities angelic being observed and were affected.
Some years ago I wrote a poem which was titled Fragrance of the Beloved. It is now lost, and perhaps that is due to good fortune. There is no telling what energy I would have to deal with if it was still in print. But there were a few lines there which ran like this.
The beloved alone is not alone,
…escorted by an army of many loves.
I wonder if Sir Paul remembers this.
The idea of this is that even if one seems to be alone in one dimension, just outside of that zone one may be accompanied by many persons who loves one dearly. Isolation in one dimension is no showing of what may be happening elsewhere.
I met a woman the other day who said that she was in love with me.
These things happen. And then others who are in my association from before are shell shocked. This happens because of being locked into one dimension and not knowing what is happening around you in other zones. So when something crosses over into your world, then you feel it is as an intrusion even though the said thing was present all along in another dimension.
What will happen to us at the time when we are forced away from these bodies and have to face up to the other realities?
How will we handle that?
Or will we to run back for an embryo from another woman’s physical body if we can?
Is it really that we are 100% dependent only on physical existence and nothing else.
Our hopes and aspirations, are they all dependent on manifestation in physical existence?
Is that it?
Right now my highest relationship is there as the frightened son of Lord Shiva. Everything else passes into insignificance. But someone may think,
No he is related to me.
Someone else is thinking, No he is my guru?
Someone is thinking, No he has to help me.
Someone is saying, No he owes me his life.
And someone is thinking, He is my relative, He has to serve me. He is at my beck and call.
As a son of Shiva what have I to do with anybody.
We are boys who are playing like boys do, mere infants.
We have not experienced puberty.
We have no idea that Shiva and the Goddess have sexual relationship.
We do not understand what that is.
Ask Sir Paul about it? About the situation of romance? About women’s situation with men? About the complexities and the unsolved complexes? Try to talk to a big man about it. Someone who was there, who went to hell and came back. Let him tell you about it before you step down that road of extreme happiness followed by sure distress.
=======================
The Goddess thinks that we are boys, her prepubescent sons. How will she act if she sees us with women? Yogis are not her favorites, anyway. We should be careful not to aggravate her because then some thought of hers might become reality and we will find ourselves in a living hell. Yoga or no yoga, no sane person wants to be in a living hell for an eternity due to the aggravation in the mind of the goddess. As boys we hid behind Shiva and playing there, having fun, no responsibilities for anyone, no involvements. We are free there. That is heaven.
=======================
The Indra deity made a remark about the agnisara practice which is for curbing the eating impulse in a material body. I had completed that practice with two final kriyas of breath infusion. In one, the breath is infused in a loop way where it goes down in the center of the body but behind the stomach-intestine-colon complex and then loops up under that and the groin area and comes up the front of the body.
In the other, energy is funneled down through the stomach into the intestines and then it is radiated through the intestine-colon complex of energies.

During the afternoon session, Sri Lahiri Mahasaya said goodbye, mentioning this:
“I will see you later.”
This later means shortly after being evicted from this material body for good. Yogis like to think that they will abandon the body. Disciples of great gurus, like to say that their guru gave up the body, as if the guru had some choice in the matter and took it.
The plain truth is that the subtle body is evicted from the physical one at death, just as during sleeping of the physical form, the subtle body is de-synchronized from the physical one. The spirit involved has nothing or very little to do with it.
Lahiri Guruji was saying that perhaps there will be no need for him to see me anymore until after I leave the physical body. Apparently he feels that whatever I practiced so far in yoga austerities is sufficient for the purpose of leaving the physical body for good and still being able to reach the association of the great yogis in the siddha loka places.
The last kriya which Sri Lahiri showed me is the illuminated thighs kriya. See the diagram:
