The letter J was created in 1524, Yeshua or Jesus?

Yeshua is the original name, in time it got distorted to Jeshua to Jesus.

In india, in my language, people still call him "Yeshu".

Does different name referring to the same personality matter or how one relates to that personality using the different names?
