I was reading Swamiji's "The Holy Science".
This book was requested by Mahavatar Babaji Maharaj.
I was checking the dictum in that book.
As per Yogananda, I could distill the following:
"I do not expect anything from others, so their actions cannot be in opposition to wishes of mine".

How practical is that?

"I do not expect anything from others, so their actions cannot be in opposition to wishes of mine".
This is a shield, mostly.
It is practical as per our limitations.
Guhaka, who was a friend to the animals, Sugriva, Hanuman, Jataju, even when he befriended Rakshasa Vibhisana, was speaking to the inability of that opposition.
All of them were under the spell of Rama, and their opposition was conditioned in that regard.
