Meditation Report:

Naad sound resounds spherically, all around within the mind.

During meditation the sound had apparently two sources. One was at the left ear, and the other to the left was sharper. But both had similar volume and intensity.

Therefore, attention was directed to the back of the head, when distractions appeared they were considered and then naad was returned to. At such times, attempts were made to sense or locate the buddhi organ as well as trace the optical nerves.

MiBeloved's Response:

Were considered?  Voluntarily or not?

Was this considered because you were unable to ignore the thoughts?

Was this considered because you found yourself considering and then gradually pulled yourself away?

Most of the time I find myself considering distractive thoughts and then pull away. I may voluntarily explore in order to not decrease the likelihood of the idea springing up repetitively. This all depends on how agitated I am generally speaking at the time.

If you find yourself considering distractive thoughts, then you should just accept that as an indication that you are not on a high enough level of the subtle body during the meditation.

If the subtle body shifts to a high enough level, thoughts will not be there and you will not be able to even think of the most seductive thoughts which would usually attract you.

The hint here is not the thought or the nature of it, but the fact that your breath infusion session did not take you to a high enough level even though it did took you to a higher level. That is a notation to be made.

Once you make that notation, then you should turn away from the thought display and return to naad and be ready to do that again and again during the meditation.

That is how that type of thought attraction is concluded in a meditation of this sort.

Simply return patiently and adhere yourself to naad repeatedly as a penance and as a way of letting the mind know that despite your inability to reach a high enough plane, still your main concern is naad and not the business of the thought.

By yourself or by reading a book, you might never figure out some of these approaches, solutions and techniques. For your benefit it is important that you lay out what you are doing so that you can get very specific help.

Alfredo's reply:

This I do, and have understood as a required penance for that shortcoming. Let it all hang out!
