Yesterday Evening Session

Had a wonderful session until I blacked out 15 min into breath infusion. Had about 2-3 mild kundalini risings until i blacked out. It sux i was not able to catch it. I hit my head on the floor. I stopped and sat to meditate.

Meditation

Continuing to observe the circles the colors are getting more noticeable. Lasted about 10 min.

Jai Sri Mahadeva!

Just as you are anxious to see lights and you are always on the lookout for that, transfer that type of interest when doing the breath infusion, so as to be more alert about kundalini’s movement upward into the brain.

Never have the feeling that kundalini will not rise or that it will rise when it is suitable to you. Always know that it can rise at any time and may catch you off-guard.

Be alert!

Once you notice that it rises in a certain posture, after a certain amount of breaths, at a time when this or that happens, then in the future, use that as a marker to be very alert about it. Keep that neck lock clamped with the chin drawn back tightly, pressing the throat down without bending the head forward. This lock must be mastered.

All postures in which kundalini rises should be noted, and one should avoid standing in these postures but should be down on the ground. In that way there is no chance that the body will fall to the ground and hurt itself.

Blackouts will occur but they should be spot blackouts, meaning momentary ones. Eventually when you have mastered withdrawal of apana energy, the black-out may be replaced by white-outs and gold-outs.

This blackout occurred to me several times. Alas, I can "reproduce" it at will, but of course that's not the idea, nor one wants to black out and fall on one's face. The witness ceases momentarily to exist.

This black out has been followed sometimes with that experience where one sees myriad little stars in the vastness inside the head (described also exactly like that by Dean in this forum).

I have already identified the asanas that unfailingly brings this result, so that I am very careful with them. These are the kneeling asanas used by MB that have been illustrated and entertained here in the forum at least twice and that are stills of his video the one with the construction blocks wall in the background. These asanas are followed by several bhandas that squeeze the Kundalini up through the spine into the head. With practice the entrance and the escape of the force are both regulated.

It has been quite a while since I last got those blackouts when standing and doing the locks, it doesn't happen to me anymore.

Today on intention I standed up from a posture without locks and I had this momentary blackout coming again.

MiBeloved's Response:

The witness does not cease to exist but its access to objectivity ceases and then it seems as if it is no more but it continued to exist. That is why it reappears with any memory from before.

It is important to know that existence is not limited to objectivity or self consciousness. Existence transcends even that.

After it has gone through the freeze down in winter, a tree has no memory of what happened last summer but that does not mean that it ceased to exist. Study this as part of your kriya yoga process.

I understand that principle, it is the way I explained it as that caused the confusion. I know about the continuity of life, I should have stated that the perception or objectivity as you put it temporarily ceases.

As per the other comment above, I have also experimented without the bhandas to confirm that the proper asanas were being used when they produced the blackouts.
