Subjugation of Negative Subtle Energy

The subjugation of apana energy may take a yogi years to complete. That energy fights back every step of the way and is insistent on its place in the life of a yogi.

There are many aspects to it like the energy itself, the moods which it produces and sponsors and the places which it inhabits in the psyche. Let me give some details.

The apana negative energy itself:

This is just the energy. In the physical world, the carbon dioxide is used by trees for energy. Certain mammalian species also use it in part or whole to fuel and assist in their survival operations.

In the human species, we use it to build muscular physique, and to induce certain moods. The psyche itself feels the need for it and thus when a yogi begins the prospect of eliminating the apana negative astral energy is a dim one.

In the first years, a yogi may, time and again, work to extract this energy but he or she will find that it reinstates itself automatically on a daily basis.

After years of consistent practice, there might be a time when the yogi notices that this energy is not re-establishing itself after each pranayama practice session. Then it is just a matter of infusing the system with fresh air and to pull up whatever energy descends in the system.

So long as the apana energy rules the lower part of the trunk of the subtle body and the thighs, legs and feet, the yogi will be stuck with the task or repeatedly pulling out this energy on one day and then again pulling it out on the following day, because it re-establishes itself.

After over 40 years of practice, I can now truthfully say that I have successful removed this energy and have conquered its territories in the psyche with the prana positive force. I did this with the help of Yogi Bhajan and especially with help and encouragement from Srila Yogeshwarananda who more or less threw me a life line and kept pulling it in.

Now during breath infusion practice, instead of pushing down the apana energy and then forcing it out of the system by extraction, I can spend more time infusing the pranic energy and pulling up all lingering energy which is in the lower trunk, thighs, legs and feet of the subtle body.  This takes me one step closer to developing a yoga siddha form.

The only way to do yoga practice, is to practice daily. Over time one may become successful. But in any case without that daily effort, no meaningful accomplishment will be attained.

This may be the unspoken question for some of us, even though you have given a thorough, analytic explanation in your post above.

Since I have personally observed much of your external efforts over the years, I will pose it:

Why has it taken you so long to reach this stage?

How was your subtle body so resistant to pranic absorption even though you must have breathed millions of breaths?

Was the absorption of prana low at times or your focus scattered even though you did bhastrika vigorously?

Is there any way that you could have expedited the process?

What, would you say, slowed you down the most?

To you, I say, "Congratulations!!!!!!"

I hope you reach the siddha levels you are aspiring for.

I am pretty sure such levels are presently out of reach for me considering my level of stamina and dedication, and I suspect that other people reading these posts might also be assessing their possibilities.

Perhaps a reasonable goal for someone like myself, is to simply work for increased purity and see where that leads.

Nevertheless, thank you for posting these accounts of your meditations and pranayamas, and for drawing all the diagrams and putting practice sessions on video, all of which give a glimpse into what you do.

Keep going!!!!!!!

Marcia Beloved's query:

Why has it taken you so long to reach this stage?

MiBeloved's Response:

Yogi becomes elevated by association.

Yogi becomes degraded by association.

Yogi stagnates and makes no progress by association.

In the Bhagavad Gita there is a verse:

योगी युञ्जीत सततम्

आत्मानं रहसि स्थितः

एकाकी यतचित्तात्मा

निराशीरपरिग्रहः.१०

yogī yuñjīta satatam

ātmāna rahasi sthita

ekākī yatacittātmā

nirāśīraparigraha (6.10)

yogī — yogi; yuñjīta — should concentrate; satatam — constantly; ātmānam — on the self; rahasi — in isolation; sthita — situated; ekākī — alone; yatacittātmā = yata - controlling + citta - thinking + ātmā — self; nirāśīr — without desire; aparigraha — without possessions

In isolation, the yogi should constantly concentrate on the self. Being alone, he should be of controlled thinking and subdued self without desire and without possessions. (6.10)

Pay attention to the word ekākī which means eka or the number 1. It means that a yogi has to be in isolation. Modern yogis and also Western students reject this and think that they can be successful without regards to this but it is not possible.

The deeper part of this aloneness of the yogi is that he or she has to be alone under supervision. It is not that he is alone and he figures it all out by himself. He has to be alone or isolated and be under supervision of a more advanced yogi. Of course the instructor does not have to be physically present if the student has psychic perception.

Marcia Beloved's query:

How was your subtle body so resistant to pranic absorption even though you must have breathed millions of breaths?

MiBeloved's Response:

The reason is association. In taking this body, I came under certain unfavorable associations in the parental environment. My subtle body was totally reconditioned by entry into the father’s and mother’s auras as well as in association with other relatives and with the general social atmosphere of my birth circumstance.

Even though it is easy to go downwards, to become degraded and that conditioning then sticks for sure, it is very difficult to become elevated. Usually the bad habits do not go except after a protracted and prolonged battle.

Marcia Beloved's query:

Was the absorption of prana low at times or your focus scattered even though you did bhastrika vigorously?

MiBeloved's Response:

There is a certain inefficiency during practice. It is related to associations. According to the persons one associates with, one practice becomes more or less efficient because the inner concentration is split between the yoga interest and the pressing needs of the associations one has. These are not only physical but psychic associations. Materialistic people and spiritual people all have psychic energy. It is not just the spiritually minded people who do.

Marcia Beloved's query:

Is there any way that you could have expedited the process?

MiBeloved's Response:

Unfortunately I could not have done it because of the energy which I took in when I took this body. That energy had to run its course.  Once you eat something, you have to digest it and then excrete it but digesting it also means that it has to influence you. Once you eat it you cannot run from its effects. It will hold you until its influence is exhausted.

You can promise yourself never to eat that diet again but whatever you have eaten so far has to run its course.  So the influences which prevailed at my birth, became saturated in my subtle body and it took this long for that to run its course. By doing the practice, I may have deterred further absorption of those energies but I could not take out what was already digested.

There was a time back in 1968 when I was in USAF tech school, when I considered to abandon this body and the mission for which it was taken, because the situation of salvaging myself from this, seemed impossible at the time. But then a voice from within my psyche suggested that such an action would result in a greater burden being carried over to the astral world and then to the next life. Subsequently, I decided that it was best to stay on and finish this, even though it meant working my way through tons of contamination.

It is like in Special Forces in the military. So they drop you behind enemy lines with a cache of arms and with your training and it is up to you to get out of there. Nobody rescues you. You have to get out on your own.

Marcia Beloved's query:

What, would you say, slowed you down the most?

MiBeloved's Response:

A yogi is slowed down by accessory association which he or she contacts inevitably along the way in trying to fulfill some mission. One will inevitably meet people and in such association one is sometimes bogged down.

Marcia Beloved's query:

I hope you reach the siddha levels you are aspiring for.

MiBeloved's Response:

There is no doubt that I will reach the siddha levels, the doubt stands in regards to when and where. Will it be in this birth or in some other birth.

MiBeloved's Response:

With the help of divine beings and great yoga gurus, one can go to higher levels but one has to be open to such help.

Marcia Beloved's comment:

MiBeloved's Response:

That is the right attitude. It is a matter of taking in a higher grade of subtle energy, and reducing one’s interest in the history of the humans on planet earth.

Once one sees that this history is circular, that it is the same thing repeated in a slightly different cast each time, one begins to understand that the interest one has in it is part of a trick to keep one from advancing, then one can decide to give one’s interest to other dimensions.

The earth history is like that of the soap operas which have the same theme for each season with a little change here and a little change there but with the same basic scheme or plot. So after sometime a particular soul sees this and makes the decision to break away from this.
