Today is Siddhi Day (revelation day or day of victory) celebrated by Sri Aurobindo devotees. After that day he went into seclusion for the rest of his life.
It was today in 1926 that he sustained the experience of the descend of Lord Krishna into his body, this he explained as follows: "The descent of Krishna would mean the descent of the Overmind Godhead preparing, though not itself actually bringing, the descent of Supermind and Ananda."
I received the following message from the Sri Aurobindo ashram in Pondicherry.
"A peace and bliss inconceivable to the pleasure-bound and pain-racked mind, and immeasurable by the limited capacities of our present sense, is the reward of the seeker's insistent self-discipline, his painful struggle, his untiring endeavor."
