Breath infusion practice this morning was successful. Somehow I was able to create a kundalini force which saturated the entire trunk of the subtle body, even the arms. A pearl-like energy shook through the trunk and went into the arms with a bliss aspect and with distribution of small pearly like energy molecules.
After this happened I shifted and focused on infusing the head of the subtle body. Beginning with the area where thoughts are generated and then moving to the back top of the head.
Yogi Bhajan’s head appeared for a short time near the end of the session. He said this:
“You cannot assume that you know what an advanced yogi experiences during practice, because you may not be on the level he is on. In the West most of my students were stymied by sex desire. Thus they underestimated what the Indians who do kundalini yogi were experiencing. It is not that all Indians are advanced. Some are just as restricted in the practice, as those who took bodies in the West.
“But it is a fact that when you take a body from the Western culture, you are automatically restricted because of the nature of the environment and because of the stress on sexual freedom. The focus of the culture in the West is for personal sexual gratification. The entire society is designed to facilitate that. But sex pleasure has little use in yoga.
“Kundalini is keeping all the individual spiritual beings restricted in one way or the other but its hold on them through sexual facility is very tight. Imagine that you are in a maximum security prison and then they again put you in solitary confinement. So when one is attracted to sex and when one is sex-centered, and when one see that sex pleasure is the ultimate basic enjoyment nature has to offer, one is under the maximum confinement. And this continues even when one begins to do kundalini yoga.
“When I was alive and I stressed responsibility as a replacement for sex, no one knew what I was talking about it. They used to look at me as if I did not know what I was talking about because in the case of sex, the enjoyment is real and immediate. In the case of responsibility, the enjoyment is postponed for the future and it is thin-out. So everyone used to look at me as if I was ignorant of the value of sexual pleasure.
“I very well know what it is but in the long run, responsibility will give a greater profit in the cultural world if that is what you are after.”

Bhagiratha’s Query:
Can you please elaborate with an example of what he meant by "responsibility as a replacement for sex".
I am guessing he is not talking about responsibility for progeny, since that would involve the use of the sexual force.
Is it responsibility to the social cultural aspect of our existence that he is referring to?

After high school, youths usually try to get their own apartments. This concerns the privacy needed for sex. As soon as puberty sets in one is confronted with this need for privacy which becomes an obsession. However the aspect of responsibility faces the individual also along with the need for sex, but sex offers cash upfront in the form of indulgent pleasure, while responsibility holds back the cash, and demands service without paying a penny to anybody.
Yogi Bhajan was speaking of those who confronted him as disciples when he came to the United States. Many youths from the counter-culture were attracted to him. They were looking for enlightenment along the lines they discovered while using hallucinogenic drugs like LSD, but behind the scenes there was this aggressive need for sex which over-shadowed the desire for enlightenment.
The sense of responsibility had no voice in the matter, because the sex pleasure need held the microphone and did not allow any other part of the psyche to speak. As far as the experience they derived from hallucinogenic drugs, that too involved sex pleasure and that was neglectful of responsibility.
Evidence of this is there in a leader of counter culture, Timothy Leary, who urged college students to turn on, tune in and drop out if necessary. Pleasure was the highlight and in that there was the predominant feature of pleasure which is sex pleasure.
Responsibility for progeny is inclusive in the whole range of aspects for which we are accountable to providence. Ultimately in terms of reincarnation the responsibility for progeny is the biggest bill which I will be held accountable for. This is because to get the next body, I will need to induce someone to take responsibility for my infant forms.
Suppose my parent(s) beget my baby form and then they leave it to fend for itself while they procure more and more sexual pleasure. Then that pleasure to me will be the cause of my death. For them it would be pleasure and fulfillment of personal needs and for me it is that they neglected the responsibility of taking care of me.
So responsibility includes responsibility for the progeny produced by using the sex force. If I am trying to get a body but my would-be father or mother, uses a contraceptive then they are effectively skirting the responsibility for my upbringing. They are getting what they need the most which is sexual pleasure and I would be getting what I do not desire which is frustration for not getting an infant body.
