Yesterday during meditation on naad, there was light from the chit akash. In the middle of that suddenly there was one of the Tibetan wrathful deities, who looked like the image at the link below.
These are real entities in the astral and supernatural worlds in certain dimensions. They have a strict countenance towards persons who are engaged in self destructive karmas and in actions which are counterproductive in the long term.
By showing such persons a strict face, they exhibit compassion to such persons in the effort to influence those persons to desist and take the opposite course.

I did wonder why Wrathful Deities looks so scary and strict, I asked my friend,
he said " Do you expect them to be Super Models ? They are Wrathful Protectors, man ! "
I read some articles about them in Buddhism, Wrathful Protectors, there are eight deities :
* Yama
* Mahakala
* Yamantaka
* Kubera
* Hayagriva
* Palden Lhamo
* Tshangs pa
* Begtse
Maybe in Yoga, they are mentioned more. I heard that these Wrathful Deities, who are called by people need protection from evil, bad entities (Michael Beloved did mention bad entities in the book Sex You).
Some Talisman using these Protectors's name in their magick ritual to put down evils, even dead, innocent entities (they not doing any harm ==" but still they been put down in scare and madness).

It is said "dharmapalas are wrathful bodhisattvas ...". I heard in Buddhist Sutra,
Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva did say the mantra for protection.
Before speak the mantra, Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva mentioned about the compassion that who using mantra need to understand.
If we read the story about Yama, one of eight deities, we would see Yama had a bad history (killing, dare to slaughter people) but then it said "Then Manjushri, Bodhisattva of Wisdom, manifested as Yamantaka and defeated Yama. Yama became a protector of Buddhism".
I heard from a cartoon "Your personality might change but your character won't ",
Tibetan wrathful deities images not only show the compassion in them but also warlike "Victory" attitude (it is my view point only).
Their relation with entities, beings, is complex. It is up to you that how you see them.
