Sealed Base Chakra Cove

When doing kundalini yoga practice using bhastrika pranayama, the student at first will have to spend years applying muladhara chakra lock before this lock becomes permanent. This lock is known as ashwini mudra or horse’s arse anal muscle in-draw.

The horse does a very clear demonstration of this lock after passing dung. Then it retracts the circular anal spinster muscle. Actually the lock on the base chakra is not that action of pulling up the anal sphincter muscle, but it is related to that.

As one applies this muscle physically, there might be a corresponding action in the subtle body to seal a microscopic hole which is at the bottom of the base chakra. It is very important to reach a stage during practice, where one pays attention to what is happening in the subtle body, when one does a certain purely physical action.

Kundalini yoga concerns the subtle body, even though initially one may focus on the physical system primarily.

==============================

If you do breath infusion as bhastrika pranayama and if the lungs do take in the air and do not refuse the air, then the air will be compressed into the blood stream, while at the same time the carbon dioxide (apana) will be extracted from the blood stream out of the body. While this is happening the used subtle energy in the subtle body will be extracted and fresh subtle energy will be infused into the nadi system from the subtle lungs. This energy will accumulate and form a static charge.

If the student is able to and can push this fresh subtle energy down pass the navel, it will invade the pubic area and spread out to mix with the subtle sexual energy which is lodged there.

The next step is the compression this mix of fresh subtle energy and the subtle sexual energy. Once this is compressed, the next step is to cause this energy to arc across from the sexual area of the subtle body to the base chakra.

Now this is where the muladhara chakra lock becomes very important. Once the energy arcs across to the base chakra (muladhara), it will try to diffuse at the base chakra. Some of it will go out through a microscopic subtle hole at the bottom of that chakra.

The student’s task at this stage is to stop the energy from diffusing out at the base chakra and to also stop it from going through the microscopic hole. If the student fails at this then there will be a heat felt at the base of the spine because of the diffusion of energy. Internally the student will feel that there is warmth which seems to leak out through the bottom of the chakra.

The application of the ashwini anal sphincter muscle pull up lock closes the microscopic subtle hole at the base chakra. It also causes the energy to cease diffusing out at the base chakra. The result of this is that kundalini is forced to move upward through the spine using the sushumna nadi central spinal passage.

==============================

In the advanced stage of this practice, the student will find that it is no longer required to apply that base chakra lock. This is because after years of doing this on a daily basis, the base chakra will seal itself and the kundalini will no longer try to diffuse itself at the base chakra. The student will find that as soon as there is an arc across of the infused breath energy and the sex hormone energy from the pubic area to the base chakra, kundalini assumes a new instinct which will be to go upwards.

==============================

Think of a snake which lives in a dugout in the earth. It has two entrances to the dugout. One entrance leads to the daylight. The other entrance leads to dark cave where the snake usually hides if it senses danger.

Think of tunneling through the earth to the place where the snake sleeps in the dugout. Push a burning rag through the new tunnel into the dugout. Because it senses danger and is afraid of the fire, the snake will go in the direction of the dark cave. By instinct the snake will not use the entrance which leads to daylight.

However if the entrance to the dark cave is blocked, the snake will quickly realize it and take the route out which leads to day light.

However if somehow the dark cave entrance becomes unblocked, the snake will use that entrance if it is in danger of fire again. To prevent it from using that entrance, it must be permanently sealed, and then the snake will always use the daylight entrance.

Repeated practice doing kundalini yoga at least once per day, using bhastrika pranayama and the various locks, serves to cause the leakage at the base chakra to eventually cease for good.

==============================

In this body, I was doing kundalini yoga using breath infusion for over 40 years now. Just recently I realized that the hole at the base chakra was sealed off permanently. I do not know when this happened, but I just observed it. I noticed this twice. Once I noticed it when meditating when I went down to the base chakra which is like a dimly lit cave which has a diffused brown light. Previously when going into this place, I used to see a microscopic hole and sometimes while meditating in lotus posture, I would pull up the anal sphincter muscle to seal the hole, but now there is no hole there.

I also noticed that while doing bhastrika pranayama in various postures, when I check at the base chakra there is no heat diffused and there is no leakage even if the aswini mudra lock is not applied.

I am sharing this information for students who sincerely practice.
