Saturation of Subtle Body

This morning I was able to reach to the level where Lahiri Baba Guruji is staying. He explained some information which gives one some idea of an important verse of Patanjali. This is the verse:

Yoga Sutras of Patanjali Chapter 4 Verse 2

जात्यन्तयऩश्चयणाभ् प्रकृत्याऩूयात्॥२॥

jātyantara pariāma praktyāpūrāt

jātyantara = jāti – category + antara – other, another; pariāma – transformation; prakiti – subtle material nature; āpūrāt – due to filling up or saturation.

The transformation from one category to another is by the saturation of the subtle material nature.

=================

Recently a student asked the question of how to do this. Here is the answer, given by Sri Lahiri.

He explained that essentially there are three methods of transiting into other dimensions. These are:

·       astral projection into that other environment

·       energy projection out of the astral body which enters that other place

·       pulling energy from that other place into the astral body

The last method is the one which is Patanjali’s saturation process.

The first method is the most unreliable one, that is the one which uses astral projection or the movement of the subtle body into other environments by transiting the entire subtle body as one moving force. This is similar to the modern feature of jet travel, where a metal container is rocketed through the atmosphere.

The second feature is where the yogi projects energy from within the psyche into the desired dimension and makes contact with it in that way. This is like when telephone messaging was first introduced, where a signal which carried an impression of a person’s voice, was transmitted from one place to another.

The third feature is where the yogi pulls in energy from the desired environment so that the psyche becomes filled with that energy, as suggested by Patanjali. Of course to do this, the yogi has to have access to that other desired environment and must have the technique of pulling some energy from that place into his (her) psyche.

Can anyone do this?

Is this possible?

Was Patanjali dreaming that method up?
