Relaxing the Grip on Pleasure

One hard-to-reach place in the subtle body for pulling out apana energy and replacing it with prana, is the two sides of the trunk of the body. Due to a strong focus on the spine and brain for raising kundalini, many areas are neglected by the yogi. In fact the need for pleasure is so great that a yogi gets crazy about raising kundalini in order to feel bliss or to get relief from stress.
The demand for pleasure is so intrinsic in this existence that it is an effort to get under it, to understand what it is. What we do as human beings is to find a way to support it. For instance we have a craving for sweet foods, sugar-based foods and we do whatever is necessary to justify overdosing on that. At some point a yogi has to step out of the ring and decide to go it alone abandoning these addictions and the justifications which are required to continue these habits.
After kundalini was raised over and over again and again, each day of practice, and when the student can do so in a jiffy, then there comes a time when the need for the pleasure energy relaxes and then the yogi begins to see those neglected parts of the psyche.
Because the yogi relaxed the grip on the pleasure need, his attention shifts to these areas and a new practice of breath infusion begins with the darkish areas as the new targets.
In practice this morning my attention was brought to infused bliss energy rising up each side of the subtle body, going into the shoulders and then running upwards from the armpits to where the shoulders meet the neck. I assisted this energy by infusing astral breath energy down the centre of the body to the floor of the trunk from where it gushes around in a loop form and came up the side into the armpits and shoulders.
Once the energy hit the armpits, it was like tiny pixels of mild bliss force saturating the shoulders.
