Reincarnation: Is it mandatory?

Question: Do we have to reincarnate again?

that would depend on where my or (your) head is at.

what is important to a person will more or less dictate what would attract that person in the afterlife

so if the person is focused down into material existence as we know it, then that energy will dictate where the person will go

i was in South Korea this year, one American man I knew came there

he got sick because of the food and longed to return to the USA, where what he called good food was available

did he have to go back to the USA?

seems that we are not always in a position to make choices

seems also that in some circumstances the choices are limited in fact even though we like to imagine that it is all beyond the horizon

but there is a nice verse in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali

it might have relevance:

The transformation from one category to another is by the saturation of the subtle material energy (Yoga Sutras 4.2*)

That means that to move from a human profile as an earthbound soul to something else, one has to have a change in psychology so that one's vibration matches the one on the level one is trying to achieve.

so unless a person has evolved and changed considerably, reincarnation would be mandatory

in fact that is why we keep coming back in the first place
