Raising kundalini or climaxing
According to my experience in the process of Kryia yoga, the concept of raising or rising kundalini is incomplete and even misleading to the neophyte. This explanation or approach is however adequate given the initially limited and rudimentary point of reference, which is primarily physical; it is helpful but not essential.
Daily rising of kundalini alone is more or less limited to daily climaxing. This initial approach that hints at an eruption is a more yang exposition akin to a masturbatory event.
The sense that I got from an ephemeral dream I recently had, is that Kryia is not concerned with the event; it is more about the observation and study of it. It is the underground phenomenon that is of use.
I am grateful of the persistent explanations and guidance. It will eventually make sense in time, I have confident in this.
In my experience raising kundalini ended anti-climatically. A steadier approach is awakening the energy, and accepting its guidance, working with it, flowing with it. “Raising kundalini” can indicate that act to be an end in itself which may be the case in other practices. That consideration is flawed here if one is not cautious.
For the beginner who is successful in raising kundalini, there may come the point where they remain bewildered with the manifestation of the energy, and may not intuitively figure the pathway beyond, as the psyche is already conditioned through the sexual act of sabotaging further introspection or "post-climatic" observations.
From the dream, thinking of the buddhi, or the objective apparatus within the base energy vortex, I realized that even the sex act for the yogi is different analytically. The yogi, so long as he/she is vested in following and tracing the manifestation of energy is not compromised in the long run. The lack of objectivity while raising kundalini daily on the other end does not necessarily translate into progress.
Kundalini or the life force energy is naturally all present at any given point in time in any living form. It behooves us as neophytes to view the process as a continuum. In that sense, any manifestation of energy within the system while involved in the intense workout of hyperventilating and yoga movements that is successfully traced is indication of progress. Indeed, it was recently posted to me that this eventually translates into increased subtle perception.
In this way learners or even those who are simply checking this particular process out and who do not experience "climax", so to speak should not feel let down, not raising kundalini per se should not be for them a discouragement. Seeking that kundalini results in frustration once it is found, and then comes a need of attitude adjustment.
There is no such thing as a failed orgasm in this endeavor, the energy may not erupt dramatically through the spinal highway, which is the principal gateway opened to it, that does not mean that it is not manifest otherwise, through other channels or even other forms. Detecting such manifestation in the course of practice is a definite plus.
As it has been repeatedly explained by Guru Yogiraja Michael Beloved, kundalini is even that slight sensation when one's skin crawls! Kundalini is already there; why not just trace what is there already? Doing such within this mind frame is more in the long run than raising kundalini daily with the wrong posture.
The yogi as time progresses sees the miracle not in raising kundalini, but establishing, determining, and exposing the relationship with kundalini. There is no sublimation, only continuation; as the passive and distant role of the observer turns into that of an involved, submerged and objective experimenter.
Therefore the yogi is not interested in effect, but solely in delving ever deeper from gross energy forms to subtler ones; all in the here and now, like peeling the layers of an onion, the core is right there underneath. There is no time or distance, yet those are real elements even if only relative.
Furthermore, the same tracing mechanism is maintained in meditation. The same sense of awareness is compelled to link within, that continuous effort in my frail estimation is the strength, the stamina, the stoicism, the stalwartness of the kriya yogi.
For all practical reasons as beginners we may simply settle in a routine of regularly practicing, and take the focus away from conquering that teasing energy by the horns.

In my case, it is easier to raise Kundalini by the day, along sushumna and into the head.
The instructions that I have been given in that regard is to do this for a while, months, if not years. It seems that here it will be at least several months.
Since raising Kundalini in this fashion up sushumna is then easy for me, I have started the process of infusing prana into the thighs, and extracting apana from it, a crucial movement due to my Brahmachari vow.
But raising Kundalini was only an objective in itself at the very beginning, like a challenge, but now is mostly the effects it causes in the head of the subtle body, and the energization that occurs from it in the quest to understand the location and operation of the organs of the psyche. I definitely do not see it as a conquering, but as a using. It is like using fire to melt or to solder. It is true, though, and as we were warned recently, that that cannot be the aim in itself, for the life force shall be canalized into other parts of the subtle body as well. However, it is also important, at least for me, that before this process starts, that the sushumna has become clear enough that Kundalini continues to raise by itself daily above and beyond the practice, this is only perceived when the bliss momentarily felt spills over the regular waking hours, regular life, and can only occur when the sushumna stays open after many daily trials.
I agree that the spectacular should not be the rule, and that those that can't accomplish it spectacularly should not conclude that the movement is absent or that is not moving in other less perceptible ways. Of course it is.
But ultimately each yogi is different, and he/she will have to face the fact that Kriya Yoga is a lonely affair, and he/she will be forced to somehow blaze some trail.
In meditation is where the stamina is most needed.

Indeed, it is an approach that is applicable to beginners or curious folks, not really to one that has already taken off...
And, with your post we get more of next picture, that is also an important encouragement.

I am at the very neophyte level, very early stages, very little advancement.
That's why I apologized in advance the other day to those that will find that my reports are mostly drab and dull, and very similar. I have so little to show.
But Michael has often said that the report should be filed anyhow, for someone may find something there; besides, at least it gives an idea that this thing is 99% sweat and 1% inspiration, finally; or in other words, an idea of a certain constancy of purpose needed. Especially with the meditation part, is a royal pain in the neck, but if one does not apply to it, one stagnates.
