Raising Kundalini

Few people realize that recreational drug use is a method of raising kundalini. It is one of the easiest methods of doing so. Another common method is sexual indulgence. Addiction to any of these methods means an addiction not to the method itself but to the particular way in which kundalini arises when it is prompted by the substance or stimulation.

Many people who begin with alcohol and then progress on to taking marijuana, sometimes return to alcohol when they make the comparison of how kundalini is stimulated by each of those drugs. Some persons prefer the kind of high they get from alcohol.

One common opinion of those who use marijuana is that alcohol is an inferior recreational drug, but what that amounts to is saying that the movement of kundalini under the influence of ganja is preferred by that person as compared to kundalini movement under the influence of alcohol.

So why not abandon recreational drug use for kundalini yoga?

The answer to that is simple, kundalini yoga practice takes time and effort and it is flawed in one important aspect which is that it does not totally remove one’s sense of responsibility or sense of duty. Smoking a reefer takes no effort and it immediately causes all those bothersome responsibilities and duties to disappear. In fact they disappear and leave behind a mental and emotional state of humor which is very much desired by the self in this dismal world of imposed social norms.

The fact that responsibility is a pain-in-the-arse is demonstrated by the widespread use of contraceptive medications and devices world-wide. Nearly every human being who can reproduce takes an out to avoid responsibility but the factor of sexual indulgence has increased in frequency.

The going thing is Sexual Pleasure - Yes, Responsibility for Progeny - No.

Kundalini yoga does raise kundalini but its downside is that it makes one more aware of responsibility.

Which begs the question, why have we been deposited in this world of responsibility...where one must be responsible to thrive and even survive in some cases? What's the end result? What's there to achieve here or is it all cyclical with no real end purpose on a universal time scale?
