Quote of the Week |
If one could stop the intellect from appropriating things in this world, then one would be soul-situated. |

We have an innate tendency to exploit in this world whether in pursuit of enjoyment or happiness or in competition and self-interest. The intellect automatically assists one in this effort and takes pride in its ability to exploit. Once one transcends this tendency of exploitation by the intellect, then one can become situated in the higher abode of soul.
One way to begin reigning in the intellect is to sit and meditate, closing one’s eyes and depriving the intellect of a key input of physical vision. Then one can become aware of the inner self and the unseen but real inner realm which is a gateway to the soul.
