Namaste,
This morning's practice was refreshing. I seem to be able to rise Kundalini as soon as the locks are applied. I am making progress regarding the holding of the locks each & every time. My meditation was very contemplative today. I kept having thoughts arise, so I just let them wonder.
I realize that I am existing in a sea of energy, even my mind is energy. The relationship between physical & subtle is intertwined superlatively. Consequently, as I have been reading about "The Golden Ratio" & how it exists virtually everywhere in nature, from our faces, DNA, music, light waves, to linguistics, hurricanes, galaxies, etc...I have wondered how it relates to our subtle bodies? Are our subtle bodies an extension that is tapped in to the greater pattern of cosmic consciousness? Is there possibly a "spiritual ratio" that connects the subtle body to the Universe/Creation?
With Thanks.

MiBeloved's Response:
Location of the core-self needs to be ascertained in the meditation. The location of the thought-manufacturing psychic equipment must also be observed.
Are you letting the thoughts wonder?
Or are the thoughts letting you let them wonder?
Who is really in control?
Maybe the thoughts sense that you might attempt to control or stop them, and then they issue a charm energy, which causes you to want to let them be, to run their course.
How sad!
Bhagavad Gita educates us to the fact that the core-self is higher than any of the psychic sensual adjuncts in the psyche and yet we find that in practice, the core-self is the toy of the adjuncts.
Why is that happening, where the mistress of the residence carries out the waste of her slaves?

इन्द्रियाणि पराण्याहुर्
इन्द्रियेभ्यः परं मनः ।
मनसस्तु परा बुद्धिर्
यो बुद्धेः परतस्तु सः ॥३.४२॥
indriyāṇi parāṇyāhur
indriyebhyaḥ paraṁ manaḥ
manasastu parā buddhir
yo buddheḥ paratastu saḥ (3.42)
indriyāṇi — the senses; parāṇyāhur = parāṇi — are energetic; āhur (āhuḥ) — the ancient psychologists say; indriyebhyaḥ — the senses; paraṁ — more energetic; manaḥ — the mind; manasas — in contrast to the mind; tu — but; parā — more sensitive; buddhir = buddhiḥ — the intelligence; yo = yaḥ — which; buddheḥ — in reference to the intelligence; paratas — most sensitive; tu — but; saḥ — he, the spirit
The ancient psychologists say that the senses are energetic, but in comparison to the senses, the mind is more energetic. In contrast to the mind, the intelligence is even more sensitive. But in reference, the spirit is most elevated. (3.42)
एवं बुद्धेः परं बुद्ध्वा
संस्तभ्यात्मानमात्मना ।
जहि शत्रुं महाबाहो
कामरूपं दुरासदम् ॥३.४३॥
evaṁ buddheḥ paraṁ buddhvā
saṁstabhyātmānamātmanā
jahi śatruṁ mahābāho
kāmarūpaṁ durāsadam (3.43)
evaṁ — thus; buddheḥ — than the intelligence; paraṁ — higher; buddhvā — having understood; saṁstabhyātmānamātmanā = saṁstabhya — keeping together + ātmānam — the personal energies+ ātmanā — by the spirit; jahi — uproot; śatruṁ — enemy; mahābāho — O powerful man; kāmarūpaṁ — form of passionate desire; durāsadam — difficult to grasp
Thus having understood what is higher than intelligence, keeping the personal energies under control of the spirit, uproot, O powerful man, the enemy, the form of passionate desire which is difficult to grasp. (3.43)

Thank you for the insight. I know better about the meditation & having my thoughts wonder. Note, this does not usually occur. Therefore, I admit that was more of a brainstorming/contemplative session & not meditation. The core self being located with observation is my goal during meditation and to stop all chattering of the mind.
The Bhagavad Gita explains the personal energies being controlled.....senses, then mind, then intelligence, while core-self is the dweller in the mind/body to be experienced. It is good to read this.
