Sun - 07/01/12

Since my living area is scheduled to be without electricity for about a week, my practice was more focused as a result of limited involvements as far as keeping up with contacts..

Relatively very good session of yoga. Kundalini raised half way into the practice in the front upper part of the body. And then, 3/4 into practice kundalini raised intensely in the limbs.

It felt like when a part of the body goes to sleep. It was hard to move on the spot, I felt like my feet were so heavy I would fall.

Meditation was easier. I was able to focus a good 5 minutes listening to naad.

Mon - 07/02/12

Yoga practice was challenged subsequent to life force drained over previous day into the night.

I managed some postures with some breaths of fire.

Limited kundalini effect, shallow meditation and no dream recall.

Tue - 07/03/12

Yoga practice was not given due attention and depth.

Recalled long dream dealing with family members back in Africa, and here with me. No lucidity noted.

The benefit of poor quality practice is the observation of what caused it, what eats away at practice and make it almost a waste of time.

 

Once the student takes note of this, the next step is to guard the psyche from those penetrating influences and to study the details of this so as to alert other student yogis.

Wed - 07/04/12

Yoga practice was focused more so on stretching.

I was able to isolate some specific areas along the thighs and stretch them well.

Some meditation with audible naad, and no dream recall.

no dream recall should be worked on

setting the mind in order just before falling asleep would help

don't just crash out like a log or like an intoxicated man

try to set the mind in order, review unfinished business and pack that away

in a memory cupboard to be dealt with on the next day or otherwise.

Thu - 07/05/12

Yoga practice was focused more so on stretching.

It was easy to relocate the same areas that were stretched yesterday.

More breath of fire would have gone quiet well with it.

Some meditation, and no dream recall.

Fri 07/06/12

Yoga practice was more focused and more intense than as of lately. I was practicing with Swami.

Meditation was not as productive. I am dealing with much intense social circumstances that interfered.

Subtle contacts as recalled were of mundane nature.

Sat 07/07/12

Yoga practice was challenging to get to, but once into it the session went on nicely.

Meditation was allowed for naad hearing and listening.

Subtle contacts as recalled were of mundane nature.

Yoga practice was rushed through as well as meditation.

Subtle contacts as recalled were of mundane nature.

Yoga practice could have been better as well as meditation. No dream recalled.

Tue 07/10/12

Yoga practice was decent and allowed for particularly deep stretches to satisfaction and feeling of relaxation and exhaustion.

Meditation allowed for some easy naad listening. Subtle contacts as recalled were of mundane nature.

Wed 07/11/12

Yoga practice was descent and allowed for particularly deep stretches.

I could feel tenderness at the back of both legs while walking in the afternoon.

Some intense kundalini effect was realized.

Meditation allowed for naad listening.

Thu 07/12/12

Yoga practice allowed for deep stretches.

Very mild kundalini was felt.

Levels of social distress... did not allow for any descent focus during meditation, I couldn't even pay attention to naad.

Fir 07/13/12 & Sat 07/14/12

Yoga practice sessions are being compromised by social pressures.

Meditation is very much challenged and mainly shallow.

Does not matter what happens.

 

Keep your daily practice going.

 

When the social pressures ease off, the practice will be more fruitful.

 

You obligation is to keep the practice and give it its allotted time.

Practice this AM allowed for deep stretches, behind the thighs and legs and the small of the back are being targeted. This provided some excitement that gives me encouragement as well, in spite of the challenges.

No kundalini effect was noted, and that is not surprising.

Meditation allowed for naad listening, and remains shallow and unfocused.

Dream recall was not attempted.

Even if there is no dream recall, an attempt should be made to have it.

 

This causes the mind over time, to develop a vigilance in this regard, otherwise it will never become a consistent feature in the waking state after sleep.
