YOGA:

My practice this AM was just alright, and could have been better, but much preoccupation even early in the day. Kundalini raised modestly.

MEDITATION:

Upon sitting down to meditate, I applied pressure on the eyes while pushing the thumbs into the ears. The golden crescent moon started off to the usual side at the left, but it did not successfully form into the whole disk or even completely make it to the right. I carried on with my meditation, listening to naad.

SUBTLE CONTACT:

Prelude: When my friend/protege was there he was much blessed to visit Michael on two occasions, much discussions and explanations were provided.

Dream: I was having a rerun of these meetings, that is what I felt waking up, that Michael was providing instruction.

First thing to do when you meditate after breath infusion is to passively check to see what the infusion has done, if it has done anything at all.

If it has produced or caused a concentration force, or an energy infusion, you should link into that immediately.

This linking is dharana practice but it is dhyana practice, if when you link the link stays without any effort on your part. If the link becomes captured for more than say about 11 minutes, then consider it to be a samadhi stage but this has to be that the link you make captures your attention and maintains your attention there without your making any effort for it to be there.

If you can do it with a little effort, very little, then it may be rated as dhyana.

If you can do it, but with much effort, then it is dharana.

Study this carefully because the three events are called one sequential practice in Patanjali under the name of samyama.

This means that if I am linking into a concentration force or a transcendental plane, and when I make that effort to link, that link is held by itself, so that my effort adds up to nothing, then I have progressed from dharana into dhyana. Now if further the link deepens and I get caught into that absorption fully being out of touch with everything else, then that is samadhi. So in that practice, I would have done what Patanjali calls samyama.

Let me explain a little more. Sometimes after breath infusion when I sit to meditate, I immediately can tell if it will progress from dharana to dhyana to samadhi in a jiffy. If I suspect that this is the case, then I will immediately break the meditation and jot down whatever it is on a paper so that I could file reports about it.

Why do I do this?

It is simply because if I do not do it, you will never hear about it, because more than likely I will not be able to recall the experience due to the fact that in some samadhis the memory is not there. It is simply not there and the state of consciousness is such that recorder just does not exist there.

Once you make the link you should note how long that link lasts on its own or by your application (dharana).

Where you find that there is no concentration force or no transcendental effect from the breath infusion, then apply your practice of pressure on the eyes.

The only practice that you should hold on to if the infusion had produced effects is the naad sound or naad light connection, or a specific instruction given to you previously or at that moment in your head by a yoga guru.

===============================

It is very important to free the self from the need for sensation and to train the self to be patient and wait for results in meditation. If one hangs on to a hasty attitude and continues craving sensation, then it will spoil the practice and further delay the advancement. It will also cause you not to learn how to listen to yoga gurus who might enter your psyche to advice you.

Insubmissiveness to yoga gurus come from one single thing which is craving sensation. This is not easy to get rid of. Do not underestimate the addiction one may have to sensation. It is a very powerful addiction and causes the student to neglect the association of yoga gurus and to be insensitive to their psychic presence.

YOGA:

Yoga practice this AM was pretty good in terms of air intake. However, the breathing could have been more forceful in several of the postures.

I felt that kundalini raised only vaguely.

MEDITATION:

Upon sitting to meditate I pressed on the eyes and there started to appear the golden crescent from the left side. It was not bright or defined this time. And it never really made to the right. It tried hard to get it go through the usual cycle, but that did not happen, and I let go because the pressure is hard to maintain. After I let go I could still see some energy lingering in the location of the shape and that gradually dissipated.

Then I as I focused through the visual I noticed that the black space that is visible when the eyes are normally closed was different. The black space or darkness had a spatial quality to it. But staying in that required effort that I was able to maintain only for about half a minute.

I then tried to stay with naad for some time.

SUBTLE CONTACT:

Prelude: In the morning Michael mentioned to me about yoga bhakti and dieties.

Dream: I found myself in a store with my protege. I was looking for a diety of Lord Buddha. Suddenly, everything else disappeared, including both my protege and the store clerk (a female I recognized from somewhere). I was in a completely blank/white space. I can't recall if I was seeing or where I am located in relation to space, but I recall being there. I did not last long there for I became concerned that I lost my protege and felt responsible. I was back in a building structure (that was supposed to be the store). I rushed through a door and went outside, I could not find my car. As I went around the block I "realized" that I was in Brooklyn given the population and the layout of the streets.

MiBeloved's Response:

Crazy dream are just fine.

Just be sure to remember them.

Work hard for that recall of all subtle occurrences.

Make it your business to bring back memories of what you do in the dream states and in the actual astral projections. Even if you cannot distinguish imagination from subtle reality, that is okay initially.

Push on with this, and fine tune your memory of all psychological activity.

YOGA: My practice this AM was reduced to breath of fire in limited positions and for a short amount of time MEDITATION:

I listened to naad for a few minutes.

SUBTLE CONTACT:

More on work sphere drama.

Wed - 06/20/12

YOGA: I short changed my yoga practice for pressing distractions, so not much can be expected in effect. Not enough time was spent beyond basic stretches and brief breath of fire only.

MEDITATION:

I listened to naad for a few minutes.

SUBTLE CONTACT: More on work sphere drama.

Fri. Sat. & Sun; 06/ 22-23-24 /12

Social obligations reassertion, travels. Practice routine interrupted.

===============================

Mon - 06/25/12

Yoga practice allowed for some breathing, but on account of interruption it was difficult.

Meditation allowed for only a faint naad. I had to concentrate in order to hear it, and it was in and out.

Subtle world contact was about mundane associations.

===============================

Tue - 06/26/12

Practice this morning was short changed all around.

===============================

Wed - 06/27/12

Yoga practice was intense with much forceful air intake. Body yielded easily.

Meditation allowed for some naad hearing. First 5 minutes were focused although session lasted for 20 minutes with the last 5 minutes on scattered brain. Effects of bastrika for meditation purposes were dissipated within about 10 minutes or less.

Subtle contacts were of work, family and finally sexual nature.

Social contact which is counterproductive of yoga success will keep chipping away at the results a student gets.

This means that the ancient ascetics did what they had to which was to go into isolation.

One should keep trying on and on and on even if one is not released from these social contacts but with the understanding that these associations are a lost cause.

Thur - 06/28/12

Yoga practice was okay. Body was quiet workable. Meditation was not as good.

Subtle contact was about talking to someone who I sensed as practically weightless due to his diet. I think that this is because of reading recent post on diet.

===============================

Fri - 06/29/12

Yoga practice was very challenged. Previous evening was draining and I felt extenuated by bed time, this carried over.

Meditation was shallow. Subtle contact and activities were not remembered.

Important to keep making the effort even if the energy of discouragement is overpowering.

Sat - 06/30/12

Practice was light with some good stretches. Kundalini raised mildly. Meditation was short.

Dream recall was vague and disrupted by the pressure of dealing with a no electricity no internet days to prepare for ahead.
