तीव्रसंवेगानामआसन्नः ॥२१॥ = tīvrasaṃvegānāmāsannaḥ
For those who practice forcefully, in a very intense way, the skill of yoga will be achieved very soon.
AM: I have been doing the prescribed mantras thrice daily, the Gayatri and then the Guru mantra with "bhava" on Swami Hariharananda Guruji. There is AM emphasis on pranayama and PM emphasis on asanas.
Today I woke up early and conducted a continuous breath infusion practice of 40 minutes. The presence of Swami Hariharananda was felt psychically quite clearly. I propitiated the Kundalini twice and after wiggling of the lower back, it rushed into the head almost causing a blackout each time. This wiggling is needed in my case to bypass the knot that forms in the Sushumna (spine) on the lower lumbar section, without it Kundalini only raises partially. It was a case of a "mudra" discovered perhaps by accident, or perhaps by insinuation? I do great emphasis at the end of infusing the breath in sukhasana into the head as prescribed by Hariharananda, without worrying about Kundalini in any way. This is done by placing the palms of the hands on different locations of the head. What this does is to pacify the "chitta vrittis" right before meditation. It is like pouring oil around a vessel in a rough sea.
Meditation has become joyful. Why? Because it is easier to latch onto naad. As soon as I start, Naad is loud and I latch onto it at the back of the head. If the mind wanders, often because of falling to the front, it is quite easy to return to Naad, that did not happen before when it was primarily a struggle. I have been told not to meditate on the 3rd eye, but to acknowledge it. Today, as a result of the breath infusion, the tell-tale signs of an active 3rd eye were there at the onset: blue and whitish clouds forming and dissipating. The 3rd eye finally opened for a few second, and this occurred together at a moment when I almost felt asleep, showing a landscape with many stars that although bright were against a lit background, in other words, the stars are visible but it is not night time there. Naad sound permeates this place. I was led to understand that Hariharananda dwells there.
