Yoga-Breath of fire practice session:

Session was very challenging. Breathing was decent and somewhat systematic. Body was successfully charged. The routine is adapted to working on mid-section on downward.

The body is kicking back from yesterday’s more intense and deeper stretches, as I know my body to react. Learning to work with the body’s limitations and expending those limits is a gradual process for me. And realistically I have to learn to be careful.

Life Force Energy:

The energy was awakened, and manifested throughout the entire body. Intellect still gets toppled.

Blockage on the left side involving lower back, gluts, thigh and leg, is manifest. Assaulting the blockage as the main focus of the session makes it very demanding but somehow rewarding.

The more the blockage is addressed the more it is exposed, as it creates resistance.

The resistance to stretching is a tacit refusal to allow more oxygenation in the tissues of the organ or the muscle, and that has direct implication in the subtle. By analogy, if I make a cotton ball tightly compact, it will not take up in flame easily. The same cotton ball loosened and aired will readily go aflame, because there is more open inter-space area that is accessible to oxygen.

This problem muscle must be steadily stretched in order to elongate over time, it needs to reverse the tendency to remain contracted from years of strengthening exercises.

This therefore will deserve my persistent attention overtime, as I try harder to observe and understand what is going on in the lower subtle body.

In addition, this tension is radiating gradually towards the small of the back and into the lower stomach under the belly button, particularly when relaxing after stretching.

--------------------------------------------------------

Efforts were made to keep the awareness in the lower part of the body, in an attempt to observe and understand. Energy was not fostered upward, but to spread out in other parts of the body including the limbs.

Mind focus:

Subtle transcendental sound frequencies were perceptible. The regular sound was at the usual location and another clear frequency at the left side. It was noted that there is constant shifting between the perceiving apparatus and the frequencies themselves. These shifts are not easy to determine for me. I realize them after the facts.

Frequency accelerations are felt as concentration is focused on frequency (source?)

The frequencies were generally tuned to at the back of the head with a few attempts to refocus.

Goals and Objectives – long term:

> Detecting the subtle body:

-More focus on internalization and especially what goes on regarding lower part of the body during practice.

-Allow the energy to shed light into the obscure areas; it will show the way!

> Make sessions more targeted and purposeful.

- Loosen tension areas about the sacrum on the left side.

Book Readings:

The "Yoga Sutras" of Pantajali; Enlightenment in practical terms!

The book is as though a code that can only be approached by practicing yogis.

So, even divine words in their purest forms can be deemed useless; unless they are refined, broken down, made digestible and perhaps palatable.

Subtle body ventures or interests recalled synopses:

An association with Michael &;

:-) ... I am on a beach; there is the usual type of crowd doing the usual activities... There are twins boys nearby, they appear quiet mischievous ... I am travelling with my brother in France. We have to perform at an important civil marching function of the small town. I play an instrument such as a tuba. There are a lot of colors of the French flag particularly white as is my instrument. We arrive at a sort of city hall fit for a small town. While we wait for all to get ready, I walk away to look for some old friends. I descend in the basement to ask where they are. I am informed by some young girls who are the new tenants that they have moved out a long time ago. An old woman the landlady also comes out.

One of the girls, the most open and trusting walks outside to help me with directions. I start on the way and stop to sit on some of those nice European street chairs (as on the Promenade des Englais in Nice, South France). Some multiracial European group of youngsters approach, I move to the next sits away from them. They are into their discussions, as they would. One of them ask me for light in order to light the drug they are about to share nonchalantly. I simply tell him that I have no light.

Concerned about my brother looking for me I head back. I notice that both my shoes are heavy with some kind of sticking mud. The substance has also gotten to my feet, and I am shocked of that happening. I decide to clean them before returning. I sit under a gazebo and start to clean them when two guys come to me, they are friendly, and inquire as to what is at the bottom of my shoe. I am already done cleaning the left one. One of them starts to pull away the substance and eats it. I explain that, it is mangoosteen (a South American super fruit), and that there are plenty of them where I come from.

From this dream I also jolted down the word son, and cannot recall the context of him; but I remember that it was not the son I now have!

Reflections:

Detection of the subtle body:

Given that kundalini is freed from some primary duties and that naad is connected to sufficiently I am able to detect the subtle body.

This detection is based on the myriad of tiny sensations that envelope the body, as if wrapped in a cocoon, because the nadis are felt.

Initially, when this would happen it would be near painful throughout the body and there would be sense of feeling feverish.

Now it just gives the sense that the two bodies are indeed inter-spaced and may allow tiny frictions (?). Also that tuning closer the transcendental sound or directing the awareness to certain area of the body increases the vibrations in the nadis in those areas.

In conclusion:

These accelerations/ intensification/  zapping that happen appear to be a result of shifting awareness to the subtle body when there is relatively deeper immersion into naad sound with a relax body. It may happen at bedtime or during meditation.

-------------------------------------------------------

Hyperventilation accompanied with and physical contortions cause detoxification of the bodies this process can be accelerated by other factors such as diet. Intensification of cleansing can be felt negatively at times and then followed with periods of vibrancy. Maintaining this trend over extensive period of time is a bonus.

Hyperventilation really means that there is an excess of oxygen floating about in the blood stream which is regarded negatively by the medical professionals.

Do not confuse this with increased oxygen in the blood cells which are floating around in the blood stream. There is a big difference between breath infusion and hyperventilation even though people confuse these.

I am not so clear on it still;

Hyperventilation: increased O2 in blood stream.

Breath infusion: increased O2 in blood cells.

So breath infusion is a step further, and hyperventilation has a negative medical connotation?

for breath infusion you have to influence the red blood cells to absorb the infused air. If the infused air just lingers in the blood stream one will not get the full result of pranayama practice.

And also the loose air in the plasma will cause dizziness when it enters the brain.

The blood cells float in a liquid as they are transported through the body. As a general term that fluid is called plasma or the blood stream (river).

Thank you Swami.

I understand better now. It is nicer when I understand things, but it also tortures my small brain.

So I will just try to keep sadhana going ...
