Practice:

Warm up even as the backbone of my practice relies on satisfying downward dog posture which was achieved with difficulty. It lasted about 20 min.

Practice was done for an hour. I awoke after less than 4 hours of rest, so not too much was to be expected from the session, as restorative functions could not have been completed in less than half their normal duration. But there was no time constraint or other at 3 in the morning on a Sunday.

Decent and forceful breaths of fire were afforded in postures and the body charged.

Kundalini was fired in assumed kneeling posture (upon dropping form standing) successfully.

It allowed me to get some small insight into the difference between the two. When there is more control, there is confidence and comfort. There was clarity. I could see the energy separate from me, as if I were simply beholding it in front of me (of the body – head was not involved). There was not the usual confusion that happens in the case of a head blast.

It was also noted that there seems to be a difference as to where kundalini/energy will rush to, when solicited:

:- In the standing in sea horse posture it tends to go my head.

:- In the modified plank posture it tends to be observed in the frontal part of the body including the face.

:- In any kneeling posture it can go to the front of the body but also lower part including the legs, or both.

Meditation lasted for about 30 minutes and extra efforts were made to stay with naad and to give the visual apparatus a chance.

Naad was listened to at night and was noticed to change sharply in frequency on two occasions. It returned to its regular frequencies gradually over a couple of minute. I attempted to hold on to the new frequencies, but evidently they were acting on their own, I wasn’t even moving.

Goals/Objectives are maintained.

Reading was somewhat managed.

Dreams as recalled, involved social situations to include my mom and son. My ex-wife was also mentioned as per her character. These will be detailed in dream journal.

Change in naad frequency is really a change in the level of perception of the subtle body. Naad frequency does not change which means it is like when you are in a many-storied building.

Okay, think of the old grannies on the first floor. They have arthritis so they cannot use stairs to climb up to higher floors. Think of the middle aged ladies on the second floor. They are no longer interested in jogging and keeping their figures in shape. They realize that it is a losing battle, so they are resigned to their wrinkles and sagging rumps.

Think of the newly married couples on the third floor. Those ladies have a body to maintain so they jog up to the third floors to check to see if their husbands are cheating on them.

Think of single swingers on the 4th floor. They are thinking that marriage would be a drag. They jog up pass the 3rd floor where they sneer at those foolish women who got married early on and got stuck raising little snots called children.

Think of the teenagers on the 5th floor. They could be careless about anything but the newest Rock Band. They have their iPods in their ears and that is their naad.

So there is naad on every level. Try it out. Take the elevator but be sure to stop and open the door on each floor so that you can hear the different sounds.

Frank Sanatra and Nat King Cole on the 1st floor.

Dolly Parton on the 2nd floor.

Aretha Franklin on the 3rd floor.

Otis Redding on the 4th floor.

Mick Jagger and Prince on the 5th floor.

You are the one who is moving not naad.

Yes, it is my perception changing, and a couple of nights ago I omitted to report that in the dream state I realized the subtle eye open and close. Again, of course that was also acting on its own. I am glad to  understand that I can notice it.
