AM Practice

Woke up at 4:00 AM (Brahma-muhurta). Quality of practice was good. It consisted of 110 minutes in a motel room with the air conditioning off and the window open.

Svadhyaya: Continued study of “Meditation Pictorial”, Chapter 12 “Mystic Inside”.

Dedication: Practice dedicated to Lord Shiva after 5-minute mantra incantation and prayer.

Breath Infusion: 45 minutes of Bhastrika prânâyâma in various asanas. Introduced another asana from Acharya Beloved’s video (the one on the floor, arms extended, head and feet raised, buttocks touching floor). The session made me sweat. Kundalini was solicited successfully twice, during the middle and at the end of the session. Meditation followed immediately.

Meditation: 60 minutes meditation on the back of the head in shavasana (cadaver position = reclining). Naad sound was very high. Two naad sounds were detected; one coming from the left ear at a high pitch (weeeeeeeeeeeeeee), the other coming from the right ear, duller, like the sound when one applies the ear to a sea conch (uhhhhhhh). This latter naad later moved towards the back of the head and finally, after 5 minutes or so, blended with the other and then both were indistinguishable. Meditation consisted on anchoring to naad until it waned away, then on concentration on the back of the head. The area of the third eye was quite active, with energy coming and going in the form of dark blue clouds, and insinuation of several images, human faces.

Dream recall: One dream recalled clearly. They were of social and family import.

Keep pinning the self to naad sound.

It takes time but eventually this will solidify efforts for dhyana spontaneous transcendence practice.
